bnm is to release data on fx reserves as of 15 aug only on fri 21 aug for position on july 30.

last position in end july was usd96.7bil. another rm25b used is very possible.
it was 2.6 mil. usa now has almost 1/2 billion barrels in storage, many months to consume it all!
i see crude dropping further.

plus... latest inflation 3.3% a new high, and msg yields rising... what else to expect of rm?

negative growth....i think difficult also. commodity (inclusive crude oil and palm oil) only less then 30% if i remember correctly, other sectors had caught up on GDP contribution. Well one thing is the Petronas dividend, so gomen's income will be lower. Perhaps that time GST 30%, suck income from citizen.

Might as well just call it $40 here.  I'm tempted to get some puts (or just play the leverage bear share) here, just it case the bears wants to bring it down by early next week or once it sinks thru that $40 line.. it could drop another $5 to $35 in short time frame.
