QUOTE(danmooncake @ Jul 23 2015, 10:27 AM) Hey.. whatca know. The fruit is at good support here at 125 after so called wall street "disappointment" about their outlook. fruit worth 200+, Ichan said. But i think it worth 400+. Sales missed "analysts" estimates? Who are those analysts huh? What are they drinking? US 49.5bln revenue for last qtr with 35% growth from last year.. is a huge success in my book. Heck, enough to even pay off Malaysia 1MDB debt in one shot and lots of spare change. Najib could have invested in AAPL fund instead ... I think we got good buying opportunity again if it dives down below 120 again. with it could correct back to 116-118, that would be nice buy. |

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Jul 24 2015, 08:50 PM) thanks for the link.hmm......still need time to digest. i mean, say i'm Malaysian. When USD strong, my ringgit is weak. So, even though oil is cheaper according to USD, but it may not be the case when i (as a consumer) buy oil using ringgit. So the cost is same, then there will be no demand increment in the world except for US. This case, how can dollar affect so much on commodities? |

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Jul 24 2015, 10:03 PM) don't forget global economy growth is slowing less demand on commodities too. sgd is the world best currency, better than usd. sgd is the new gold, if anyone worry on usd, buy sgd. so gold can come back to 800 or 600. weak price in usd cum weak demand = double whammy on commodity exporting countries. did u notice aud = sgd now? QUOTE(danmooncake @ Jul 29 2015, 09:30 AM) Did you guys read this story? poor gamblers. http://www.cnbc.com/2015/07/28/chinese-far...ost-it-all.html Uncle farmer invested entire savings of US164K equivalent (convert in RMB, that's like over mln), then leverage up to 1 mln usd margin (6.2 mln RMB) and buy ONE stock? And he bought when the SHCOMP index over 4000, because of govt propaganda urging everyone to play.. Everyone will SELL whenever there is a pop opportunity to get their money back. The institutional players will eat these people alive knowing them have bought on margin. No wonder China market will crash... with tons of clueless people like this in the market. but still, we can't feel pityful for gamblers, can we? They are gamblers. If there is no margin from bank to buy stocks, well, maybe they borrowed from dark market and go Genting to gamble. Not much difference, I think. |
