maybe this is it - china more easing.

China cuts 1-year lending rate to 4.6%, lowers reserve requirements for banks
*
so des ne! however, those media can say just anything. they might say, oh, chinese slow down fear enlarge, gomen no choice but to cut rates. tongue.gif

we just need to stick to fundamental. low share price, buy more. expensive valuation, sell. simple logic only. icon_rolleyes.gif laugh.gif

恒指虽然以升市收场,但港股收市后传出中国暂停了直接干预股票市场,决策者正权衡救市措施的利弊以及下一步的行动。

RM still "strong".....sounds scary! sweat.gif

this bear market, i continue selling bursa stocks and transferred over to hk and US stocks. now only left 35% on bursa. If hk rebound, i guess would go 75% on foreign stocks. laugh.gif

latest ...

new home sales increses...

consumer confidence rises (last month was 10 pt down)

oil stock pile is expected to rise in the next report (but oil rising...?)
*
bullish.... laugh.gif

oil....seriously, it's short term, either up or down. just looking at balance, and we don't know where is the balance point. middle east countries cannot take it for too long, and US oil companies see this, so they continues to produce oil, waiting for the opec or whosoever to take aggressive action on low price. Hard time fighting these high tech companies. US is the winner on high tech, still the world #1. biggrin.gif

any idea why the final hours dropped so much?
institute pump and dump strategy?

i think they still wait and see attitude. they want to "confirm" on china market before making a move. Besides, they short too much, so take time to "complete" those shorts. sweat.gif laugh.gif

some expert views here:
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/videos/2015-...the-final-hour-

summary...

.. "stocks have to catch up with the selloff in energy stocks and energy debt".
.. "the fed and ecb can hold things but a 3rd force, the emerging markets, have arrived with violent movements".
.. "buyers on dips hesitating, sellers drawn in".

will be wild nights for a while. laugh.gif
*
ya...quite true. buyers hesitation. I am a good example. buy too early, each buying costs loss. after few tries, turn into wait mode. However, this afternoon bought again in hk market, too cheap to hesitate. bought and forget, maybe 5 years. laugh.gif

It's difficult to time the market. Just set a target and buy/sell some when it happens (like auto-trigger with gtc).

This week been quite volatile.
Gap down.. panic sell and buy, next day gap up.. retrace and fill. Tonight, gap up again - most likely will be the same pattern, take a few step back and fill.  sp500/dow/nasdaq is forming like a pennant shape.  I think nasdaq is likely to heal better than the other two.

Thanks for sharing your opinion.

Ya, just stick to the long term fundamental. It seems so far bulls are hesitate to buy. Any upside has sellers waiting. laugh.gif

Just took a look at the 10 year graph of SP500, the current fall is pretty scary. In fact, it's the largest red stick since 07-08 financial crisis. A strong support only seen at 1820. But if bearish stays, we are seeing free fall the same as 07-08. unsure.gif

if fed sept rate hike cooling is the cause of this bull, then it's very weak. because rate hike is going to come soon anyway. lets see if bulls could dig out more reasons for coming back.

if today later go red, i bet big fat grandpa bear will come out and roar. Lets hope the baby bull can hold it there til the end. tongue.gif
as said, if the biggest reason is fed sept rate hike delay, that would be a really fragile reason. Just need another fed officer comes out and shout he think numbers are extraordinary, rate hike is unavoidable. There you go, bear will come back. laugh.gif
