QUOTE(dragonfire88 @ Aug 12 2015, 12:41 AM) Newbie in the house =) Would like to ask, is there a safer way to transfer the fund to the online brokerage site like Interactive Broker ( IB ), or I should test it with 100, the subsequently bigger amount? I checked the website but couldnt comprehend firmly, so any sifu here with IB account can shed some light as for fund transfer how it works? IB matters:Besides the W- 8BEN form is just for declaration of tax so just confirm can already right? Thanks alot sifu =) https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3396549/+40 |

QUOTE(mikehwy @ Aug 12 2015, 05:51 PM) yoo. seems like same story again. triple digit red? going to be real ugly again coins safe in drawer, waiting for china money factor to subside before setting another retirement plan. now? may be getting unspeakable soon if US trend continues .... u know, with the triple whammy of falling rm (or rising usd), falling oil, and rmb devaluation (and hence compounding falling rm, rising usd)..the worst case scenario would be: .. bought at high price and holding oil&energy, china, and bursa stocks in rm. the best case scenario would be: .. bought and held oil/energy shorts or inverses in usd. i am a mix of both, so... win some, lose some.... more turbulence coming?
The People's Bank of China (PBoC) weakened the yuan against the dollar for a third consecutive day on Thursday, following reports the central bank intervened to stem the currency's sharp slide late on Wednesday. The PBoC set the yuan fixing at 6.4010 on Thursday, weaker than the previous day's close of 6.3870 and 1.1 percent down on Wednesday's fix of 6.3306. |

now, add this...
QUOTE U.S. F-16s Launch First Attack From Turkey Against Islamic State Selcan Hacaoglu Anthony Capaccio August 13, 2015 — 6:38 AM MYT U.S. F-16 fighter jets hit Islamic State targets in northern Syria in their first airstrikes from Turkey’s Incirlik air base since winning approval to use it last month, according to Pentagon officials. Six of the jets made by Lockheed Martin Corp. took part in the strikes that are part of a “deeper U.S.-Turkey counter-ISIL cooperation,” Navy Commander Elissa Smith, a Pentagon spokeswoman, said in an e-mailed statement, using an acronym for Islamic State forces. The U.S. began drone flights from Incirlik last week after Turkey agreed in July to a long-standing American request to use the base for closer airstrikes. |

this is interesting...
QUOTE "Clearly, when we saw the futures roll over, that's when we we saw oil roll over," said Art Hogan, chief market strategist at Wunderlich Securities. "Right now the correlation between the Dow and WTI is as tight as I've seen it." http://www.cnbc.com/2015/08/13/stocks-open...gests-data.html both dow and wti rose on the same days 28, 29 july and 10 aug. rest of the days, they fell together. based on that, dow will turn red later today as wti is unlikely to go green after losing 2.5%. this analysis puts next support level at 41.68...? http://www.dailyfx.com/forex/technical/art...-at-Bounce.html very bearish... QUOTE(danmooncake @ Aug 14 2015, 02:16 AM) The energy index ETF (XLE) seems to be holding up...despite crude crashing back to low 42. yes, i noticed that quite some days ago.but, not sure if it can hang on yet.. if oil does crash below 40 later. not only xle. oih too does not seem to fall much anymore at 31.xx while crude keeps falling. i am fearful these will fall off a cliff at some stage if crude keeps going down. |

QUOTE(danmooncake @ Aug 14 2015, 02:47 AM) Take a look at the leverage side of XOP: GUSH and DRIP those 2 are low volumes, hard to trade.Their ticker names should be inverse of their chart pattern. i prefer dwti and uco. been good. |
