Yup....After Leisure Mall and MyTown(located next to Jln Cheras)...
Leisure Mall has only 4 halls, limited in supplying the  Cheras market.
My guess, GSC of EKC can operate as sibling cinema complementing Leisure Mall, like MV-Garden, BTS-Pavilion. If Leisure Mall tickets fully sold out, come to EKC and vice versa.
Mutiara Barat MRT station can serve as one stop of GSC cinema, for commuters from Kajang/Cheras Selatan (I know Kajang/Cheras Selatan have cinemas but not GSC)
*
yeah.. GSC Leisure Mall is small and i hope that GSC EKC (if confirmed) can have more screens to serve the needs of cheras folks.. icon_rolleyes.gif

the cinema operator at Cheras Selatan is actually TGV

LFS in Kajang.

TGV in Cheras Selatan and Cheras Sentral. Besides, TGV also presents at Shamelin and The Mines(maybe Velo), making TGV the largest operator in Cheras.

In Cheras or nearby, MBO only operates at Viva but stopped from entering Damai Perdana (of Cheras Selatan)

Cathay is eyeing Cheras Selatan and not sure finalized

CGV is too new at the moment.

So, from the above scenario, one cadidate for EKC is GSC.

Back to KL, all GSC cinemas are with at least 10 halls to capture the market, except for Leisure Mall(LM) and Garden(while My town TBD). The Garden GSC has its MV sibling to "top-up" for battle.
The LM GSC also needs a sibling to complement. If EKC has GSC, it can accommodate 8-or-9 halls, making the LM+EKC "loaded" to capture Cheras + Kajang market.

Looking at the slow progress of ekocheras shouldnt buyers be concernwith completion risk than worry about lad. Ifwe see progress of some projects like you city n green residence they r cleralyin good progress for completion. Definately not this project.hopefully i m wrong but i dont see them completi g by dec 2017

Comparison of apple and orange despite both are fruits.
no question ekocheras is slow and probably will be delayed
however basement consume much more time compared to elevated parking and twice the cost as well.

Why apple n orange comparison. As with any new development snp has a completion date n developer would hv factor in all this period including more work due to mall.so how can we provide execuse for developer 4 being late like basement need more time to complete n so on. This is based on my observation at this stage.i stay nearby n i would love to see this project complete n provide convenience 4 shopping. Genuinely there is risk even for dibs buyers bec they cover up to certain years only after that buyer risk. I hope ekovest being a reputable highway builder do not desappoint buyers sine this is their first maiden prooerty project

Thx for declaring staying nearby.
Do you observe the steelbar pillars started to "grow" taller than the fence when travelling along Jln Cheras (specially the opposite direction towards Kajang)?
Those are the pillars of BlkJ.
The public can monitor further once the building structure has exceeded the fence.

ww1, it is not excuse. but the fact is when you compare to conventional condo, it is not apple to apple comparison with Ekocheras. Some conventional condo even struggle to complete whole project in 36months.

My personal observation is they underestimate the amount of works especially the below ground work required and financing part of the project. However works seems to pick up and hopefully significant progress is achieved in coming months.

If we based on ekovest reputation, it should be able to complete. The concern of slow progress require strict monitoring n follow up as it is very slow with just 1+years left to completion. Some structure up is a good sign as highlightd by jagalat but still too slow to be comfort.

As buyers just push n monitor this closely with developer.we heard abt the problem with empire damansara, we wouldnt want to see it here.

Thx for your concern and suggestion.
Regardless how much text exchanged in the forum, it will arrive to one of the practical action items, ie to continuously monitor closely the progress.
So, pls join monitoring with us on its progress...

As for Vempire, my reply was done at earlier post...

The Uturn flyover is situated on MRR2, stats ramping at a point in front of Taman Billion and ends at a point in front of Tesco Midah.
It is shown in the red line of a small picture

http://ekocheras.com/location_map.html

It is not from seripetaling u turn and leads directly into ekovest area...

I see. In that case, it ease the congestion at billion round about and ease the people leaving ekovest but not for those who r going to ekovest. Is there any new way for those who heading to ekovest from kl or seri petaling direction? Or must it drive further down jalan cheras then uturn back?

am not taking side....

when you guys signed the SPA, the mall project hasn't been confirmed yet. they were supposed to have shoplots nia....

then the mall concept approved after the SPA.

Honestly I wont count so early that buyers will get LAD yet...(yes it looks like definitely wont be completing before the SPA date), but some developers managed to obtain extended completed time from Authority for genuine delay or extended period required bcos of change of master plan.....

I expect Ekocheras will do the same.....

Si far, there is no new way directly heading to ekovest from KL or Seri Petaling direction except from Jln Cheras. I have the same concern as you do. A direct assess from the KL or Sri Petaling direction would attract money coming to the mall too. Don't know why.

Anyway, there will be a future project called Viva Impian Residence located in between Bukit Tiara and Tiara Hills (ya, the two Tiara-s). A future direct access will be built at MRR2 from Seri Petaling direction to the new project (only one direction). From the Viva place, it is linked to EKC via internal Taman Mutiara Barat roads.

For now, pople need to drive pass leisure mall and there is one elevated u turn, if i remember correctly. The thing that will annoy me is i imagine i stuck in the jam inching to the u turn and ekovest is just on my right side. So near yet so far. We all know how bad that jam can be in that area. God forbid flash flood that surely exagerate the jam 100 folds.
U sure know a lot about development near by. I really hope that the tiara's service road branch from mrr2 will be assessible for ekovest as well. Even only one way.
