From the videos I saw online...the audio is jap but there were English subs all over..
*
That video was shown at X'06 event. Since most of the event's attendees doesn't understand Japanese (and the game's audio hasn't been dubbed in English), the video was subtitled.

I think the chance of seeing the Asian release subtitled in English is pretty slim considering the release date for both Japanese & Asian version is very close.

Seeing that Singapore's Xbox website list Blue Dragon in their upcoming game list, we might have hope. But remember that this is the same website that says that Dead Rising will be released in Singapore in August; which in the end, never happen.

360 game sitting pretty on Famitsu list ... really?

We think it's about time to feel the ground, folks, it may be a bit frigid. Blue Dragon -- Microsoft's latest answer on the big standardized test that is Japanese game market penetration -- is showing initial signs of acceptance. Not just regular "ho-hum" acceptance, but enough to turn some heads (assuming Microsoft didn't hire people to vote).

In a recent Famitsu poll, Blue Dragon somehow clawed its way up to #3 on the list of most anticipated titles. Blue Dragon managed to knock off big hitters like Metal Gear Solid 4 and Twilight Princess, #4 and #6 respectively. The big, white box also managed to pull another nod with Dead or Alive Xtreme 2, which fell in at #15.

Microsoft is getting some much needed help in boosting its image, especially now that the PS3 has finally landed (in limited quantities anyway) in the public's grubby hands. Of course, Blue Dragon's big push won't mean much if MS can't keep the Japanese-friendly games flowing; Japanese gamers are known for being fickle and trading in game machines after finishing a game.

this game is shaping up good. hm, a 3-dvds jrpg. that is something of a record, right? maybe alot of CG-FMVs or a fully orchestral soundtrack taking up space?

3-discs? Any source that confirms this?

Edit:

Anyway, if it turns out to be true that Blue Dragon comes in 3-discs, I'll enjoy changing the discs mainly because it felt like an achievement. On my Playstation days I used to boast about it with my friends.

"Yeah I'm on disc 3 now"
"No way dude! You beat the final boss on disc 2?"

According to the thread you linked:

I wonder what the sequel will be like. The story continues from Blue Dragon 1's ending or each Blue Dragon game has different story & character like Final Fantasy series?

Blue Dragon features invertible game cover, which mean you can flip the cover inside out to display another cover if you're bored with the default one.

Just got my copy of Blue Dragon. I've played for around 5 hours, now I'm at Lago Village, just after Marumaro joined my party.

I love this game~ hands.gif

Just arrived at Gibral Castle, seen lots of Bulma-like NPC. Same character model, just different hair / dress color. Why don't they make different-looking NPC characters? If they want to reuse the same character model, at least don't put them in the same town / place. doh.gif

Sorry for the poor quality picture, took the pictures using my camera phone.

it will be easier to level up later in the game ( using the barrier trick in disc 3 )..so don't worry so much unless you are playing the super hard mode...
*
That's a lot! shocking.gif

I thought category will be maxed at level 40 / 50 because IINM we won't learn anymore skills once we reached level 36 in category level except for Barrier category, which unlocks the last skill on level 50. My characters category level (their default category) is around level 50 - 55.

I've reached disc 3 and ....

I got this from the link you provided. It cracks me up. Looks like Shu is ******* instead of unleashing his shadow's power. laugh.gif

I don't think the Chinese version has English subs, but I do hope I am wrong on that.

Wonder if anyone bought the OST, was a little tempted to buy it from Playasia as its discounted now.

If there's no English sub for the new Asian version, I hope they'll make the English version region free. sad.gif

I may buy the OST if I have extra cash. I love the "Boss Encounter" song which is titled "Eternity by Ian Gillian" and also the "Devi Dance" song.

The Eternity single is only US$ 8.72 with free shipping. rclxm9.gif

I just watched Blue Dragon's anime trailer and it looks like they have changed the storyline.

The characters in the anime looks .... ugly too.
