True. I haven't got any equipment apart from a Mares rashguard. I'm too scared to get sunburnt again. Last trip I dived with rashguard + board shorts using everything else from dive shop.

Interestingly, most DM in Panorama Perhentian uses same equipment as customer rentals in fun dives with a few exception, unlike from what I saw in Udive Tioman where the instructors/DM uses their own full equipment wings/sidemount in fun dives.

In my first dive of the trip, I used a Seapro twin lens. I saw some sands trapped between the frame and the glass but impossible to remove. I'm not sure for whatever reasons water keeps flooding in.I have to clear the mask for like every 10 seconds and my eyes usually got irritated for a few seconds after I cleared. It was quite tiring for the entire dive. Second dive I changed the mask to another identical mask and it has been good, apart from there are no baby shampoo/anti fog around I have to use dishwasher liquid as anti fog.

That said, having to clear the mask so often made me more comfortable and less panic when I have to do so, because in my refresher dive back then I was having trouble clearing mask 

Somewhere I saw people say a guide to see if a mask fits you is try the mask without the strap and inhale from your nose, if it doesn't fall it fits. Can some abang/kakak tell if this is true?

My 1st Deco Dive 😁

Dive plan this week is two boat dives on Saturday. It will be my first reef dive off a boat here.

Any recommendations on good mesh bag for fin and mask?

Really? 2 small reef shark in the snorkeling zone in front of Redang Lagoon also didn't see? Out of 3 dives, I saw 5ft reef shark twice, 2 giant stingray, lots of Moray, giant puffer fish

Decent vis, water temp 28-30, not bad diving. No super hot sun is good

It's too tiring to do 3 dives a day due to all the logistics. Because I don't live next to the beach. So I usually 1 dive, or at most 2.

I prefer using backpack, i find it less straining on my shoulders and easier to walk with rather than having a sling bag banging on my thighs.

I was thinking of buying the mesh laundry bag from Daiso and sent it to a taylor to sew a pair of straps for me since I seem to find stores selling the Aropec brand. It's just fins, mask and snorkle for now so it aint that heavy yet. But I'll keep looking out for one that can handle more weight.

BTW, I'm already using the IKEA bag for dry stuff, I'm quite particular about separating my dry and wet gear/clothing/wallet/phone

I recommend to wait till MIDE end July to get some gears. Plus you get most of the dive shops together under one roof. And those not there also will be having their own promotion.
