Ok will prepare one tonight nod.gif

Generally my week goes like...

Wednesday - Check weather forecast. Discuss dive plan with buddy or find a club to dive with.

Friday/Saturday/Sunday (depending which day works best) - Pack up, drive out, get gas fill, gear up, dive, drive back, unpack, wash gear. This took 8 hours in total today.

Conditions - I'm better at reading the weather forecast (rain/wind/swell/tide) now... when I first came I got shaken up by rough shore conditions... still have the scars from it lol. Water can be surgy too in the shallows. However, the good thing is that there's usually little/no current.

Viz - been bad-to-medium. I consider every dive a torchlight dive, it's just easier to spot stuff and locate your buddy. Viz is supposed to be better in winter, but the water is colder too.

Temperature - Today's water was 19C, and air 22C. With my gear I can do one dive comfortably. I get a lot colder on my second dive.

Gear - since arriving here I bought a wetsuit, weights, tank, first stage reg, fins, and hood. Basically, thicker and heavier versions of what I had before.

Marine life - A lot of creatures here are different from the ones I see in Southeast Asia, so it's fun finding new stuff all the time. A lot of sea weed, sponges, and some soft coral. I'll try to compile some in the video.

I was there, no whaleshark oso. Maybe water not 'green' enough to attract them yet
Hi bro and welcome. How long a span were those 10 dives done in? Any aspirations for future diving? Inb4 aspirating salt water
Hahaha

Tenggol was pretty impressive. Been there twice before, first time was magic, second time in Sept2014 was let down by bad viz. This time all is OK, less current, good viz of 20m.

Corals in good shape. But... in places like Coral Garden, lots and lots of coral, but the fish were missing. Imagine anemones without clownfish. I can only deduce that loads of illegal fishing going on. sadly.
*
The fish missing part fits in with my memory of Tenggol...

Hi all, wanna ask...is Bali a nice place to dive? Planning to go to Tulamben in July...is it suitable for beginners? biggrin.gif
*
Tulamben is not that bad, vis is awesome and the black sand is a nice contrast to the colourful stuff. Other places (Mola2) I dont really recommend.. actually most of us dont recommend especially for beginners.

Hi welcome. How was diving again after a year of abstinence?

By the way I'm not sure the 'nudis' you're referring to are the same nudis that we know of. Lol

Ignore imran, he a bit dirty minded so the nudis is not his nudis.

Happy friday guys, can any of you guys recommend a place to get a PADI Open Water licence thats affordable? I'm planning to take it up alone since either no friends willing to follow or most of them have took their licence already.
*
Depends on some more stuff such as location, duration, with accomodation or not and aircond or not. Effectively I say find a place u want to go first and then look at the dive centres there and find the best one.. If all are crappy then scrap that and go another place.
