DS sound quality is really not that good... however, a good pair of earphones will make it more bearable...

My PX100s work well with the DS although I usually use my Sony headphones instead coz I lazy to unplug my sennheisers from my ipod and then plug into PSP, then plug into DS... they provide better bass than the SOnys though.

get a decent MX500 sennheiser, should sound fine
