Wanna get recommendation on getting a cash back cc for petrol of between rm200 to rm450 a mth at any brand of petrol station and anywhere, cash back rate at least 5%

According to my research, Citibank platinum cash back card wud meet my needs but I nd to apply for support card as the petrol spending is at family level. I m ready to cancel the card if af is not waived for principal and supp card after a year of usage.

Reason for not getting maybank vs is to leave it for d next yr if I ever cancel Citibank platinum cb card. Another promo cc wud b aeon cc which offers 5% cb on petrol until 15 Nov 2016.

Not using scb just one plat bcoz effective rate is only 3.4%. Not interested in uob one card bcoz it is 2% weekday n 5% weekend.

Pls kindly confirm or advise a better cb cc for my petrol if members here have better suggestion that cn meet my requirements.

since you didnt specify preference to particular pump days, then...

MBB Ikhwan Mastercard @ 5% Fri/Sat
MBB Ikhwan Visa Petronas (effective 1 Nov, 8% on weekends at Petronas only. announcement here, full T&Cs not yet updated since mbb revised the features from 8X TP to 8% cashback)

Thank you for you recommendation. I didnt specify the brand because my family members pump their petrol at their own convenient time (this means any time in the week and no just restricted to weekend) and the brand they preferred, which includes Shell, Petron, Petronas. Hence I do not want to get a specific card for certain brand only and do not want a specific card for certain days only, looking for a more generic one.

As such MBB Ikhwan although is a great card with high CB and most importantly, free AF, I could not consider that due to the "diversified" brand and the need to pump petrol at any day of the week. :/

Just checked with my FB friend who is a GE agent, he told me still cannot pay via their website. sad.gif

I double confirm we cant because after I finally have access to GE online, there is no option to pay online.

2 alternative below (depending on your insurance amount also):-

a) Charge the insurance to Aeon/Aeon Big cc and pay via PosOnline with online cb cc.

b) If the amount (one off) is around RM2,500, charge to SCB Just One Platinum to get RM85 for that month.

1. Salary per annum: 60k
2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee:  must.

3. Card required for: petrol rebate (must), insurance rebate

4. Existing credit cards if any: SC gold card, maybank 2 cards, citi cash back platinum
Any recommendation? all my existing card cash back on insurance. I need both petrol and insurance together

SCB Just One Platinum card gives a maximum/optimum of 3.4% CB for petrol, auto bill payments (including insurance) and online transactions. Make sure your insurance is auto debit, it will falls into the insurance category. However, the max CB for a month is RM85 for a minimum spending of RM2,500. TO maximise the CB, you need to spend only on those spending that gives you the so-called 15% CB, which are petrol, auto bill payments and online transactions.
