1. Annual Income: around RM48K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Must

3. Card required for: cash back only

4. Existing credit cards if any: Hong Leong Wise card (sup), maybank (amex+visa, thinking of drop it) and Citibank (Platinum + Clear)

5. Looking at CC from: CIMB cashback

6. Others: Please be specific.: No

Maybank CC really have no benefit for me now, thinking of drop it after spend all the point and get a replacement card. I have WISE card for petrol cashback, now looking for other transaction cash back card. probably on online spending or streamyx payment.

Aeon Watami 3% rebate on everything except Petrol, if you can spend at least 3k per quarter. Cash back cap at RM150 per quarter.

Telekom autopay get RM2 rebate for Streamyx and another RM2 rebate for telephone line.

After go through few threads including recommendation here. I'm going to apply 2 - 3 cards in the next few months:

My routine spending:
Groceries (weekend): 300 - 400
Petrol (weekend): 300 - 400
Utilities (TM unifi, celcom, TNB, Astro): 500
Shopping (Online & Retail): 300

Thinking to get:
Maybank IKHWAN for Groceries & Petrol (5% rebate) - including monthly top up touch N go at Jaya grocer
CIMB Cash Rebate for Utilities/Shopping (2% rebate)

Will going to cancel RHB Evo & Travel, OCBC Titanium and considering to get HLB Essential for expensive purchasing  occasionally such as furniture, electronic kind of stuff.

So if the coming months really follow as planning, the cards I will be holding in future will be:
Maybank 2 cards (still keep for 5x rewards & 5% dining)
CIMB Cash Rebates
Maybank IKHWAN
Would like to ask the above planning looks alright for my spending? Any great cards recommended to add-on?

HLB Wise Card and Aeon Watami?

Ikhwan as back up card to Petrol/Groceries.

Thanks for your suggestion, will look into WISE card and re-calculate my spending if can beneficial from the 10% cash back.

For AEON WATAMI the quarterly 3% cash back only apply to retail transaction right? If so besides petrol/groceries (which will use ikhwan for 5% weekend), all the utilities bill I've made through auto-debit or internet payment. Don't think my other expenses besides petrol/groceries/utilies can hit RM1k/month.

For Watami, all kind of transaction except petrol.

can someone recommend me the easiest cc to apply for first timer?

Apply with bank that have your salary bank in records usually it's easier..

My first card is with CIMB in 2010.
My wife first card is with Citibank in 2013.

1. Annual Income: RM42K +-

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Yes!

3. Card required for: Priority wise Petrol about RM300+- (Pump mostly during weekdays, seldom pump on weekend), online/electronics purchase, dining and retail

4. Existing credit cards if any: Nil. I have only 2 debit cards

5. Looking at CC from: Any

6. Others: Preferably higher cash back

Thanks!

MBB Ikwan Petronas - 8% on Sat & Sun, 1% on weekday
MBB Ikwan Mastercard - 5% on Fri & Sat

Other cards that gives petrol cash back probably won't worth it imo.

HLB Mach - Dining
CIMB CR - Online purchases
