My salary is 3.4k per month pre EPF/Socso, and I own the maybank2card & Uob One + Vox card, am I entitled to apply for more credit card from different banks?

As far as i know as long as my yearly income > RM36k I'm eligible to get more than 2 cards right?

I'm asking cause I wanna get the free robot cleaner by applying for HSBC card via ringgitplus. tongue.gif

Thanks @fruitie, if that's the case I'll just make it proper:

1. Annual Income: 36-40k annually

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Yes

3. Card required for: complementary card for my Maybank 2 Card and UOB One

4. Existing credit cards if any: Maybank2Card Gold, UOB One + Vox

5. Looking at CC from: HSBC (They're giving a free robot cleaner now on ringgitplus)

For petrol and online transaction I'm using UOB, for weekend dining or others I'll use my Amex. Aside of the robot cleaner, I'm looking for a card from HSBC to complement my Maybank & UOB.
I've always paid my statement balancing on time. Please advise if HSBC will approve my application since I've already owned 2 cards and my salary is not that high.

Unlike SBC Gold, Younique doesnt restrict any transaction. Understand this, petrol and insurance are also considered as retail transactions unless bank specifically exclude them.

If that's the case is PTPTN loan repayment counted as retail transaction too? hmm.gif

Yes, just like sis fly126 said, any goods or services charged to the card is considered as retail transaction. Charges like late payment, annual fee, balance transfer are not retail.

Yup... nod.gif

"Retail Spending / Transactions" = Any Purchases of Goods or Service which is Charged to the Credit Card

Retail Spending (Transactions)
i) Local / Overseas Purchases
ii) Auto Debit / Recurring / Standing Instruction (SI)
iii) E-commerce / Internet / Online
iv) Mail Order / Telephone Order (MOTO)

NON-Retail Spending (Transactions)
i) Flexi Payment Plan / Easy Payment Plan
ii) Balance Transfer (BT)
iii) Cash Advances / Dial For Cash (DFC)
iv) Credit Shield Plus / Card Protection Plan
v) Outstanding Balance / Finance Charge / Late Payment Charge
vi) Reversal on Transaction, Disputed / Fraudulent Transaction
vii) Card Replacement Fee / Annual Fee / GST, Other Fees & Charges

Thanks both sifu. Just realized how broad is the definition of "retail" in the financial sector.

Not UOX but VOX.

Vox and One are 2 totally different cards. Depends on your usage, both can be beneficial.
