QUOTE(babygajah @ Aug 29 2015, 09:20 PM) 1. Annual Income: RM36K to RM60K Aeon Watami can cover everything except petrol with a cash back of 3% assuming you charged between RM3000 to RM4500 per every 3 months. Charged less no rebate while charge more, rebate is capped at RM1502. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: A Must 3. Card required for: Main Priority : Advance payment for reimbursable medical expenses e.g. medical checkups, specialist appointments, dental, spectacles, etc. Not-so-main priority : Cash back/rebate via petrol, utilities, groceries 4. Existing credit cards if any: Nil 5. Looking at CC from: Nil 6. Others: Referring to item #3, it's because I don't have medical card. But my company allows me to claim quite high amount of medical expenses. I've been using debit card for the past 4 yrs bcoz I had a bad history with CC & I learnt my lesson the hard way. I'm hoping I won't make the same mistake again. |

Unless you dine super a lot, else I think MACH is a better option or maybe even PBB VS. At least your TNB is covered now by Wise. TM - Yet to be verified for UOB VOX. I have already tried but the result will only know on 30th September. So not sure if that gives 5% rebate. Insurance - Aeon Watami if your spending is at least RM 3k per quarter. If it is difficult to achieve, you can chunk in your TNB, TM, retail and other expenses here. Groceries - You can add MBB Ikhwan, that also gives you another slot for petrol. Else, you can also add in MBB VS. Since you didn't put in your salary information, I will assume it is RM 100k and above which you can qualify for PBB VS and MBB VS. Now looking for one more card to cover for retail/online/groceries. |

VOX can be used to pay flight tickets and get rebate but CR cannot. |

QUOTE(danielnet1728 @ Aug 25 2015, 10:19 PM) 1. Annual Income: RM50k to RM55K I have the Maybank 2 cards AMEX. 2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Yes or can be easily waived. 3. Card required for: Cash Back/Rebate a. Maxis Bill b. Insurance c. Dining d. Retail Shopping e. Oversea Spending 4. Existing credit cards if any: Maybank2Gold Card 5. Looking at CC from: Any 6. Others: Maybank changed the AMEX card to only CashBack dining and I planned to cancel it if there is a suitable or better card other than that. Besides that, many places does not accept AMEX. Thank You! Applied for and got the Maybank Ikhwan credit card as a replacement for the AMEX card due to change of conditions of use. Ikhwan is similar to the AMEX. Pros: NOT AMEX, MASTERCARD I think. More widely accepted. Valid for 5% cashback on petrol and groceries on Fridays and Saturdays. Cons: No or minimal Treatspoints. Re: Acceptance of Maybank AMEX cards. I was told that you can try the merchant's credit card terminal with the Maybank AMEX card IF the card terminal was issued by Maybank. It MAY read your Maybank AMEX card. But have to ask and try, so a bit of hassle. Known fact and tried and tested - Sushi King accepts Maybank AMEX credit cards, so when dining out on weekends, that's a choice.
