QUOTE(justice_alive @ Sep 28 2015, 12:01 PM) Ez payment 0% mostly for 12 months only. How to recommend to you? Citibank can forget it. Hardly will approve without 1 year record of holding another card. QUOTE(azizikhan @ Sep 28 2015, 12:02 PM) Hey Fruitie, MBB Premier limit can be "tailor-made" to suit your spending. Thanks for your response. That is an option too. I don't have any issue with credit (pre-condition for working in a bank Do you know what would be an average credit limit for these cards ? Cheers, AK You should get around 20k~30k at least, if your salary does qualify. Signatures limit is around 20k at least, and an Infinite is around 30k. Premier should be around that range. |

QUOTE(Wongchoy @ Sep 28 2015, 01:43 PM) Let me assume you are new to CC and you would like to use it for 0% installment. So it is good you apply from banks with a vast merchant acquiring network eg Maybank , CIMB. Maybank requirement is a minimum 30k, so I could only recommend CIMB Rebate MasterCard to you. CIMB can't call in to convert for installment. So either he has to swipe the merchant that offers 0% EPP or he won't have the chance to do EPP Not many merchant offers 0% for CIMB thou. Tiffany and Co is the only 1 I remembered having 0% EPP |

QUOTE(justice_alive @ Sep 28 2015, 03:54 PM) Im new to credit card .. please ignore my lack of knowledge.. Means get a credit card with low limit? what u mean get something small? actually i plan to get citibank clear card.. not sure its good or not.. Well what do u think about citibank clear card? some place says that it has free annual fees, but its website only says that it is only free by one year.. well.. buying things with instalment just part of the reason that i am going for a credit card.. i also wants rewards on what i spend and enjoy some benefits by applying a credit cards. actually i have little money saving on what i am going to buy.. so im basically prepared.. just instalment will make my life easier for not spending a whole amount to get one item. If you bother to read my reply, I already mentioned that it's nearly impossible to get approved on a Citibank card without a 1 year record of holding another card. Basing solely on your salary, you can get UOB One, HLB Mach, CIMB CR Mastercard and Aeon card. Their benefits and perks, please head to respective threads and read up. |

QUOTE(dk999 @ Sep 28 2015, 04:46 PM) Is there any difference between Hong Leong WISE gold and Hong Leong Mach Card? Yes, there are plenty of differences. Is the annual fee easy to waive for all 3 card? Hong Leong WISE gold, Hong Leong Mach Card, HSBC Amanah Mpower Visa Platinum Wise can offer up to 10% CB while Mach can't do the same. Wise's AF is almost impossible to waive after 2 years, Mach one can waive if you use it. As for HSBC, never bothered with their card since it's not really beneficial to my spending. QUOTE(justice_alive @ Sep 28 2015, 04:52 PM) haha its not that i did not read, just i dont understand about what u wrote.. If your salary below 36k, your limit is usually x2 of your salary.i see i see.. if u would recommend one.. which one would u recommend the most for getting a low credit one? So, I dun think can go any lower already |

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Oct 1 2015, 10:24 AM) this is the proper topic to ask. Large car dealers ( Merc / BMW and those accepts CC for downpayment or deposit )if your car dealer can accept credit card (i guess for downpayment, not to service hire purchase), then choose those with unlimited cashback. if i'm not mistaken, HLB Essential (1%) or HLB Fortune (1%). Helped my friend swiped once in order to reach my 50k target for Signatures. No problem at all. Even house downpayment can pay with credit card nowadays. Just need to know how to nego. |

QUOTE(ashskywalker @ Oct 6 2015, 03:00 AM) 1. Annual Income: RM30K to RM36K Online shopping - CIMB2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: A Must 3. Card required for: Petrol, Cash Back/Rebate Only, Online Shopping, Dining, Mall shopping 4. Existing credit cards if any: Nil. 5. Looking at CC from: Maybankard 2 Cards, CIMB Cash Rebate MasterCard 6. Others: Personally I like the look of the CIMB CR Card but of course can't decide based on the look of the card only. So yeah, this is my first time applying, I don't which is the best for me. Dining promotion - CIMB / MBB Mall shopping - Neither since MBB removed it's CB except for dining and CIMB is mostly for online and etc. Petrol - MBB Ikhwan - 5% on friday & Saturday. 2% every day with CIMB CR. No CR for M2C |

QUOTE(Eulm585 @ Oct 6 2015, 04:44 PM) sort of, looks appealing when it has promos all the time Yes, if you are mostly using it for online transaction, it's good enough. Most of my cc are for online trans as i rather deal in cash when im out.. plus i don't drive often enough to pump more than 100 a month. that would be a good choice right? since I'm mostly using it for online trans |

QUOTE(ashskywalker @ Oct 6 2015, 06:25 PM) so it seems CIMB CR would be a good choice for me? because mall shopping is the least option that I care about and CIMB seems to be in 3/4 categories? 5x Treat points / 5% dining CB on weekendsAnd may I ask what advantage does AMEX have that I would miss out on if I go with CIMB instead of M2C? QUOTE(adamhzm90 @ Oct 6 2015, 10:07 PM) Hi guys, is the 7% cashback cimb mastercard a good deal? Never had a cc before and considering for it. Will use it strictly for petrol.. Got hidden term and condition. And sorry for asking, but how does the cashback work? Need to spend a certain amount before can get CB. And as for how cashback works - You use a certain amount, and then at the end of the month, you'll get some reduction of the total sum used. |

1. Annual Income: N/A
2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Does not matter. 3. Card required for: Air Miles Conversion. 4. Existing credit cards if any: None that has anything to do with air miles. 5. Looking at CC from: MBB Visa Infinite/ Premier / Mastercard World / Etc 6. Others: Best conversion to air miles / PPL entry overseas if possible / Oversea spending. Saw MBB Premier that comes with an Amex Reserve, MBB VI which is a product on it's own and MBB Mastercard World which has evergreen Air Miles compared to the previous 2 which have 3 years validity. Which one would be better in terms of overspend spending and Air Miles conversion. Got a little confused with their products :/ Open to other bank's card if the conversion rates are better / better perks compared to MBB and etc. Thanks. QUOTE(Davidtcf @ Dec 7 2015, 08:57 AM) HSBC Reward card good? yesterday at pyramid they approached me i hear they explain like very good ony... can't apply for the cash back card as my spending usually less than 2.5k a mth for a card. 40k points can change to MYR 100, not RM 50.so decided to apply for the reward card.. 8X points at mid valley megamall (Any outlets), 5X points at any mall. No annual fee free for life. And it's Visa easily accepted. 15k points can change 1 RM50 Aeon voucher or some other voucher d.. sounds better than Maybank card 40k points for RM50. As for reward cards, I usually find them a little misleading. Unless you are a uber high spender ( but there are definitely other cards which are better in terms of accruing points for rewards ) Always believe that cashback is better over reward points but if you feel that you can maximize the HSBC card, go ahead. |

QUOTE(Davidtcf @ Dec 9 2015, 02:10 PM) which card do u think is best for cashback? i don't want any ridiculous requirements like minimum spend RM2.5k please... thanks.. Depending on your usage....Best cards always will have terms and conditions, if you want to utilize it, you gotta be flexible a little |
