Hi,

Alcohol is no problem. As they track based on MCC code. So eg, if you buy alcohol in Tesco, it will go through and count as groceries. tongue.gif biggrin.gif

Weekday petrol - MB VS, HLB Wise, CIMB CR
Digi and TNB - HLB Wise, PBB VS Aeon Watami (must spend RM3000 in 4 months to get cashback)

fyi, alcohol/pork/non-halal items were usually separated at different section in a hypermarket. although it's all tagged under grocery category, but it shows as non-halal in your receipt. it depends on mbb islamic to take action or not.

Since I already have the HLB Wise and Aeon Watami, I'm thinking of HLB Essential as it has 1% unlimited rebate.

HLB Wise.

But annual fees are a little hard to waive.

UOB ONE also can try. 2 years free, at least.

CIMB CB / UOB Vox is good.

If you are a heavy user, CIMB supplementary card's CB is separate from the main card.

You could use it to get more CB compared to Vox in that sense.

That's if my memory served me well.

Side note : CIMB are known for cross border charges. sweat.gif

That aside, free lifetime annual fee, preferable no? laugh.gif

Anyway, as said by chiahau, VOX seems to be better. I have CIMB CR too and I have applied for VOX, once it is approved then I will cancel my CIMB CR.

Is there other alternative CC other than this 2 cards fall under online category?

Yes. Ambank true credit card. 3% cashback. Capped at rm30. No admin charges. biggrin.gif

You can consider AEON Watami 3% cashback. One of the lowest forex rates

I read somewhere that UOB VOX will only pay cash back if transaction is > rm50? Also need to swipe once per month?

Both capped at 50 = Yes

But as for Cimb, the cash back for your supplementary cards are seperate from your principal card.

Thus theoretically, you could get more cashback if you split your transaction over 2 supplementary card with Cimb rather than just flat RM 50 with UOB Vox.

And the Vox have a monthly fee, if you don't swipe it at least once a month laugh.gif
