I think the topic says it all.. are there any of you out there?

I just got back to Malaysia after living in the UK for the past 10 years. I think like the rest of the addicts here I can't bring myself to quit playing wow which has taken up way too much of my time in the last 2 years.

What I would like to know is that if there are any retailers in the Klang Valley who will be bringing the EU version of the game so that I don't have to rely on friends overseas to DHL TBC over when it comes out in 2006.

Also-anyone experiencing high latency since Saturday or is it just me as I'm trying to connect to the EU? Ran a traceroute and i seem to be getting a lot of dropped packets when jumping to tmnet routers with IPs beginning with 219.94.9.*

Any further info on the above would be appreciated.

LOL major bumpage on this thread. Thought i was the only one for ages.

Don't give up.. Currently I'm getting between 350-650 ms on Darksorrow EU. Which means i can still do a pretty good job tanking etc.

There was a time even before the Taiwan earthquake where i was losing a lot of packets between M'sia and Europe. After hassling TMnet (even had their number on speed dial) on a daily basis with tracerts they eventually fixed it.

Looking at your tracert, it looks like your data is being routed very inefficiently. Call tmnet, give them a tracert, complain about packet loss, bad routing and high ping.. tell them you expect <300ms on your connection.

Basically, before logging on to my WoW client, I'll look at the ip address, and ping my vent server to test the connection for latency and/or dropped packets. A good ping to my vent server usually means a good connection to my wow server.

Funnily enough i can get a 202ms ping (After the quake) to my vent server which is in the UK on 60.48.xx.xx before 0000 hrs but after that the ping just goes crazy. Then it's switching IP addresses till i can find a stable and fast connection again.

And one more thing, EU>US!!111

Funnily enough I get the best ping when I'm at the office, about 450ms in the day, when no one in EU is awake and when I'm too busy to do any instancing.

Anyway give me a shout on Darksorrow, I'm usually on my warrior after midnight - Jojoba (alliance) and we can compare notes about latency.
