QUOTE(stasio @ Aug 18 2016, 06:38 PM) 30k/24months service. the list for my service as below:- rplcmnt: --engine oil -- oil filter -- drain plug washer -- air filter element -- dust & pollen filter -- spark plug - gff/guided function -sundry: -- lubrication of battery terminals -- lbrcation of all the door hinges -- lbrction of 4 windows run channels -- lbrction of under carriage bushes and joints -- lbrction of key cylinders - perform AC service: -- remove/recharge ac --refill compressor oil, -- moisture removal -- clean evaporator cores/ac filter --leak/temperature test & interior bacterial cleaning + air refreshening i thought that should be standard for all vw schedule maintenance service right. im not sure if all the services are required or not to keep you from avoiding the warranty.. anyone knows? or can we choose? for the quotation, air filter (1) = rm138 oil filter (1) = RM69 spark plug (4) = RM220 pollen filter (1) = RM107 screw (1) = RM11.50 Engine oil 5W40 (3.3) = RM224.40 i believe the major one was for the AC service. and i change the front wiper as well, it cost me RM200 for 2. that excluded from the RM1400. so, total cost for me RM1600. they said that the maintenace cost for polo HB is higher than other model. QUOTE(stasio @ Aug 22 2016, 09:43 AM) Except spark plugs and AC service (& sundry) is per 30k service. thanks for that.. thats what make me wondering, if the table is still reliable or not..Maybe old now but should be +/- 10-15% ![]() i asked the guy there as well, what is the cost for the next service, and he said that the next one will cost around RM1K (as compare to that table, it should around rm600 only but i noticed that the next service will not count 15k mileage interval, but 20k of mileage interval. it makes me confuse more This post has been edited by KEKwA2104: Aug 22 2016, 09:55 AM |

QUOTE(voscar @ Sep 12 2016, 06:42 PM) for the maintenance, do we really need to follow exactly all replacement items they listed? cannot de-select items? for eg, dust and pollen filter, spark plug replacement @ 30k km seems too early, can we ask them not to change until next service? will they tell you it would "void" warranty? if it is still under warranty, i believe they can fix it..replace some part of it or maybe they will replace the whole part of it.. just like my polo aircond compressori had my eye on 2014 - 2015 used polo sedan, last time saw there's overheating or coolant leak issue, any technical fix we can ask SC to do to prevent it? |

QUOTE(voscar @ Sep 13 2016, 09:47 AM) How about the service? You follow their replacement list without de-select any item? I just follow all item listed.. no de-select.. maybe u can try, and update here later on if the warranty will be voided or not..heheYes, I noticed polo sedan aircond seems not so cold, tried a few units seems same... Was it slow to cold compare to Toyota and proton? compare to my proton gen2 aircond, proton aircond is better.. but maybe because polo have auto-adjust for the blower..thats why i think it is a bit slow to cold.. |

QUOTE(voscar @ Sep 13 2016, 10:15 AM) Oh, you are driving gen2 previously as well... How polo sedan compare to gen2? During my test drive I found the acceleration slower and smaller legroom on driver seat... No foot rest it is hard to compare, because my gen2 is 6 years already..but i think i like polo more.. acceleration i think polo still better than gen2, especially when u use the sport mode.. under low speed, with standard mode, i like my gen2 more.. but for high speed, polo is better.. especially on highway.. but, not i feel like flying..haha because im using polo hb, so it's a light car for high speed.. yeah, the space is a bit smaller.. mybe u should wait for the new jetta.. |
