Has anyone experience losing their display signal?

I am using the 362.0 drivers at the moment with my 970.

At first u experience during full screen video playback, the just now while gaming. I can still hear the backgeound. But I have no display.

I tested with both hdmi and digital output and both have same problem.

Been reading a lot of similar problems on the net itself but no solution yet.

The only way I get back my display is shutdown with power button, switch off PSU, disconnect cable from GPU and reconnect and turn on.

If I were to restart without doing that. I still don't get back my display...

I feel you, this kind of experience  doh.gif
By your description, it looks like the culprit is related to display, since the background sound can still be heard.
Try using a NEW video cable (HDMI/DVI) and see if problem persists? hmm.gif

Oh I have the same experience recently on my 970 as well. For me so far it only occurs during Starcraft2 legacy of the Void. Still trying to figure out the issue.

Yeah, nowadays sometimes I can't even start my PC without the issue.

Like just now, after starting up, the monitor gets no display. But my PC is working.

Had to shutdown using the Power button, turn off my PSU, remove and reattached the HDMI cable and restart PC.

Shit is getting lame.

Same with my DVI cable. This happened recently and as far as I know, a lot of other people are having issues as well.

But I don't know if it is a driver or BIOS issue, since drivers don't get loaded until Windows is started. Could well be a BIOS issue.

Are you using a Z68 motherboard?
