Don't know yet. I think the price now is overly inflated.  I'll wait for both AMD and Nvidia to come out with complete range of competing cards, then I believe the price would rationalize. Then I see how it goes.

If just going by Firestrike result, my current GTX 970 SLI rig setup still above the best (as of today) single GTX 1070 rig by 1,000+ pts. So why would I want to spend RM 2K+ to get roughly the same performance.
*
I am also having the same thoughts that the price is over inflated at the moment.

I am just interested in VR and 4K at this stage and since there is limited content for both, I can wait.

Definitely not worth it to spend RM2k+ to get roughly the same performance.

Guess i take note 6 first then 1080 ti laugh.gif

I will also be getting Samsung Note 6 (which I hope is similar or better specifications than Samsung Edge 7).

In case for GPU, will just monitor the situation and determine the next step at a later stage, no hurry.

Feel good only. biggrin.gif

Also nowadays buy aircond to cool the room might be a better option than spending on custom water cooling.
*
I watched your Galax Computex video.

Just curious with the Galax GTX1080 / GTX1070 coolers (non-reference). Are they larger than 2 slots (ie. 2.5 slots) or would they fit in two slots?

Thanks.

Kih kih kih, then replace the 240mm radiator with car radiator. Paint with rust resistant paint. With radiator submerged  in continuously cold running air sungai, I think it will be cooler than running in air-cond room. I might just to that, when I'm 60 years old, retired and sick of living in KL.
*
I will probably retire and stay in an area with strong internet connection as I would like to complete my games on Steam.

Prices look reasonable.

I am very interested in the Zotac AMP Extreme GTX1070 or GTX1080. Hope we can get that pricing of that soon.

Hmmm, I will probably continue staying in the city because I would still want to have the convenience of the facilities in the city.

Trust me, this dude will have no qualms throwing out the GTX 1080s the moment GTX 1080 Ti comes out. Then throw that out if Titan comes out. Damn, I'm still hunting for a bargain LGA2011 X79 Motherboard.
*
We should help him by buying his GTX1080s at a super cheap price (when he decides to throw them away).

Indeed! And let's not forget too that back in the day, the PC was only generating beeps and boops unless you invested in a sound card ala Adlip or Creative sound cards. I remember I once had a Creative AWE32
*
I have never seen an Adlib sound card before.

I also had a few soundcards, list of my soundcard history (from memory):

1. Soundblaster 16bit
2. Soundblaster Live
3. Soundblaster Audigy 1
4. Soundblaster Audigy 2
5. Soundblaster X-Fi Xtreme
6. Asus Xonar D2X

if you keep chasing the trend, then every year a generation of GPU is dead

if you just want to play a good game, old GTX750Ti still running great
*
Depends on the resolution and the settings though, I would still go with at least a Geforce GTX970 for 1080p.

*
I am interested in Palit GTX1080 Jetstream as it is RM3k and I can spend another RM400 to buy a GPU cooler (ie. Artic Cooling Accelerro Xtreme 3.

Another video of Gigabyte GTX1080 GT Gaming:

But as I know this MSI gtx670 got dust removal function when start up the PC...both of the fan will spin fast and reverse...but only one fan is doing that...another one just spin for few seconds then dead...

In case nothing works, I suggest changing the GPU cooler.

How much did it cost you?

I am considering either getting it from Malaysia or Singapore or Canada at this moment.

Canadian price is quite similar to Singapore price via NCIX.

I am going with non-FE cards so will wait a bit longer.

I am considering the following:

1. Zotac GTX1080 or 1070 AMP Xtreme
2. Galax GTX1080 (the triple fan version)
3. Gigabyte GTX1080 G1 Gaming (the triple fan version)
4. Inno 3D GTX1080 (the triple fan version, available in Jakarta)
5. Colourful GTX1080 (the triple fan version, available in Jakarta)

Sounds interesting. Are you going to get the card from ncix.com online or buy it over there ?
*
If I am getting from Canada, I order it online from NCIX, shipped to my friend's place.

He will return to Jakarta in mid July 2016, so I have to wait until then.

just saw it at lelong, Palit is selling 1070 for RM1999. so tempting! btw normally which brands do you guys go with? and does one brand are more desire than the other? i always like Asus but their pricing always above than the others. :/
*
I have used the Palit Nvidia Geforce GTX 285 (cooler replaced, Artic Cooling Accelerro Xtreme series). It was fine and I eventually sold it off to forumer.
