Anyone has tried this vga max setting 1080p on Lord of the Fallen? I think this game really sweats any vga muscle at max setting. Care to comment about the temperature and GPU usage percentage? My gtx770 got reboot automatically many times although resolution has been reduced to 1280x720.

I tested Alien Isolation (which I think on par graphic with the LOF I was watching the temperature all the time during gameplay (windowed mode), it can spike all at sudden even the event in the game seems not too graphic intensive. scary. |

just wondering but what kind of performance upgrade can i expect going from a kepler 680gtx to a pascal ?
By the way, an interesting comment by amd developer QUOTE "Nvidia Gameworks typically damages the performance on Nvidia hardware as well, which is a bit tragic really," he told PCR. "It certainly feels like it’s about reducing the performance, even on high-end graphics cards, so that people have to buy something new. this i didn't really care because i usually get the high end cards anyway (minus titan x level QUOTE “If you look at Crysis 2 in particular, you see that they’re tessellating water that’s not visible to millions of triangles every frame, and they’re tessellating blocks of concrete – essentially large rectangular objects – and generating millions of triangles per frame which are useless. but this caught my eye though. is there any basis on that claim i highlighted ? or is there a valid reason it's done that way. any IQ improvements or technical limitations for not doing this better ? http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/amd-accuses...amaging/0153557 it's a shame that these 2 camps don't have a similar agreement like intel did with amd for amd64 for intel instruction sets (in gpu case nvidia gameworks, gsync and source code for amds.... not sure what lel... freesync ? but still i'd like to know regarding what i mentioned This post has been edited by Moogle Stiltzkin: Aug 1 2015, 10:34 AM |

QUOTE(shikimori @ Aug 1 2015, 09:23 AM) Haha. This like back to crysis 1 days again. The 8800GTX/ULTRA only can run 30+fps at 1680*1050 full resolution, the benchmark display at that time. Cannot imagine how 5 inch extra today makes hell a lot of difference. |

QUOTE(Killmeplsok @ Aug 1 2015, 05:21 PM) Well, TressFX later became open sourced so Nvidia could optimize for it, same cannot be said for tessellation heavy frameworks such as hairworks though. the same can be said for AMD cards, their new archi could have way way improved tessellation than the previous, making it less troublesomeits just now where AMD are still not tessellation optimised |
