QUOTE(Likesh @ Apr 25 2016, 02:43 PM) i think now still don't have any actual review on new GTX 1080/1070, all just rumor, lolz, need to see hows the actual performance for 1070 and 1080 Of course all just rumors, one can only speculate for now. Nothing official.i think maybe 1070 = 980 or maybe 5% more performance 1080 = 980 ti or maybe 5% more performance As for performance, I think you might be mistaken, as comparing say, the 780 Ti vs. 980 Ti » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « ...one can deduce that the performance for 1070/1080 over previous cards would be much higher than 5%. |

BATTLEFIELD 5 and GTX 1080 TO BE REVEALED MAY 6TH
http://vrworld.com/2016/04/30/battlefield-...80-reveal-date/ ![]() QUOTE EA today launched a landing page for the World Premiere of next generation of Battlefield. On May 6th, 2016 at 1 PM Pacific, 4PM Eastern and 9PM British Summer Time, Electronic Arts will hold a live stream announcing the Battlefield 5. This will be the 11th title since this franchise launched in 2002, and probably the most expected one. Star Wars: Battlefront was quite a disappointment and not a single Battlefield title managed to beat Call of Duty from the throne of annual-to-bi-annual franchises that storm the bestselling charts. At the same time, Nvidia is hosting its secretive meeting where the selected invitees will be introduced to GP104 and GP106, second and third chip based off the Pascal GPU architecture. While the big chip, GP100 launched as Tesla P100 and won’t see the world of PC gaming / workstation until first half of 2017, GP104 and GP106 are the chips that will ‘bring the honey’ for Nvidia as both GeForce and Quadro boards, making sure the company keeps the leading market share. If nothing changes at the last minute, the GP104 will be branded as GeForce GTX 1080, succeeding the GeForce GTX 980. Get excited! |

Nvidia's "Order of 10"
http://orderof10.com/temporalshards ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() QUOTE There are a total of six pages on the site, we have Collision, Structure, Circles, Compute, Vision and Astronomy. Each puzzle corresponds to the next, solving the mystery piece. There’s also a reference for Fermi on the page so this provides us a hint at what the puzzle is all about. Solving all pieces reveals the title of “Humanity shall be enlightened” which when entered next to the URL leads to a countdown timer. There is definitely a whole lot of research that went into finding what the tease is all about. http://wccftech.com/nvidia-geforce-gtx-108.../#ixzz47Zkr0qs8 Solution: |

365.10 is good so far. I waited a day to see the feedback, no 'fried' cards
With regards to the older drivers, I don't see why 'additional' steps are required to install a video driver. If it does come with specific instructions to do so, then it is on the user to follow. I think generally this applies to any software driver update but... to cause 'failures'/'inability to boot normally' ; that is something else entirely. The fact that future drivers "fixed" this issue and not continue to let users to do a clean install, to me clearly this is the fault on the driver part. QUOTE(terence_nwb @ May 6 2016, 10:47 AM) It's coming guys Yeah! All hail the Order of 10! http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/articles/...-6th-at-6pm-pst Live stream tomorrow 9 AM. Can't wait for Battlefield 5 too! Hyper-realistic visuals on Pascal... 4k 60fps perhaps |

...soon
WTS GTX 970 4Gb If the reviews for GTX 1070 is indeed better than Titan X, why the heck not! $379 = RM1,515 So expect it to be around RM1,800-ish here I guess... |

RM1,700 - RM1,800 for a GTX 1070 that should be faster than a Titan X. Totally worth it. But a GTX 1080 - quite a difference in price.

NVidia GTX 1080 Outperforms The GTX 980 SLI & GTX Titan X, BUT IS A WASTE OF MONEY!
http://thetechnews.com/2016/05/10/nvidia-g...waste-of-money/ ![]() QUOTE This 16nm FinFET chip will outperform your old 2X GTX 980 and also the world’s highest 12GB Bandwidth memory graphics card “GTX Titan X.” But, in reality, this NVidia GTX 1080 is a failure in the sense that NVidia wants you to upgrade your Graphics card GTX 980 with the same amount ($599 vs $529). Well, it will be a planned trap, but yeah, some gaming enthusiastic people may switch to the 16nm process. Firstly, let me tell you the GTX Titan series was never built for the gaming purposes, still comparing with the latest GTX 1080 will not create the upscale bar right now. While when you are comparing the 2X GTX 980 SLI with the Latest Pascal architecture, GTX 1080 will be a fail. The single card GTX 1080 will outperform the dual GTX 980 with ease. While you have to pay more than the single card. So, in that sense, the single card GTX Titan X will not even outperform the new GTX 1080 graphics card. A Little bit confusing, right? Okay, let me clarify this to you. The “Ti” version of the NVidia’s graphics cards are the best in the world with the robust and boosting performance rate. Last year’s GTX 980Ti got the best card award from many of the companies. And this card will cost you the same amount of money as the GTX 1080; well, as for performance it will be sometimes better or sometimes less than what’s demanded. •GTX 1080 will cost $599 with 8GB memory •GTX 980 Ti will cost $529 with 6GB Memory (Not bad for gaming) •2X 980 will cost $650+ with 8GB memory (Will not work as 980 Ti) •Titan X will cost more than the 980Ti / GTX 1080 While asking about the upgradations this new card will not give you the goosebumps of your latest 980Ti cards. You may feel a little bit of a difference for it. And on the other hand, the latest GTX 1080 card will support only the Intel 6th gen processors and the scale of 16GB of RAM! That’s the recommendation for the latest 1080 card. The Bottom Line You may get the power exhalation to upgrade your NVidia cards after you saw the spaceship design of the GTX 1080! Keep the hype inside of your chest, this card may not create the difference but wait for the 1080Ti title. That will be the beast of your gaming module. Comment... QUOTE This article speaks truth and all hypeboys are mad because it's an article of sense and not senseless hype. The 1080 hype is All BULL$HIT. Games will still be unoptimized and run like $hit and in 6 months to a year, Nvidia will release a new card that's way faster and for cheaper. They are the worse, Nvidia likes to $hit on all of its consumers for spending their hard earned money on something they BELIEVED to be the latest and the greatest at THE TIME of release. And not too mention they'll release an update that will nerf the cards clock speeds 3-6 months after release, in order to get you to buy a new one sooner than later. I own Nvidia Hardware so I know this $hit all too well. I wished we had 3rd GPU player on the market because Nvidia has become quite terrible with their business practices and AMD isn't competing well enough to keep Nvidia in check. All these Hypeboys ain't helping either. |

QUOTE(marfccy @ May 13 2016, 04:23 AM) senseless comment Dunno... but it echoes what a bit what was said by @cstkl1i think they forgot one thing, Nvidia is not pointing a gun at their head and forcing them to buy a new card every release no idea why are they so pissed at having technology outdated QUOTE(cstkl1 @ May 10 2016, 08:06 PM) Up to u guys. Telling ya pascal 1080/1070 is not worth it. Lets see what pascal titan brings. Should be end of the year or next year march. QUOTE(cstkl1 @ May 11 2016, 09:28 AM) spending 2-3k will have massive improvement. I know that Nvidia has more up their sleeves for Pascal but just need to wait a bit longer. I think most are currently 'shock & awed' by Pascal they want to jump onto the Pascal bandwagon as soon as possible. its the question when you should spend it. from my perspective its the next gpu for dx12. so far new games are using dx12 overhead reduction tech BUT none of the Graphical tech. Why?? since there's ver little development in the graphic side of dx12. Nvidia motto of " The Future is Now" means the GPU is made for current graphic needs. Its always been like that. Just wait for official benchies and we'll see... no doubt that will paint the true cost-to-value effectiveness of GTX 1080/1070. |

QUOTE(TheHitman47 @ May 13 2016, 04:05 PM) honestly thats a good move. 3/4 way sli support already poor. Even an ultra high-end gamer would require 2 at most, what more with GTX 1080 performing (supposedly) the way it does.for 99% of people this will not be an issue. anything after 2 cards is a waste of money, and with the way the new GPUs are performing there shouldn't be a need for more than 2. the people who may be sad by this are benchmarkers. 4K60fps shouldn't be an issue with 2x GTX 1080. Unless... pushing for the absolute limit, 4k x 3 (12K) perhaps. Speaking of which, wonder how feasible 12K gaming will be with Pascal. How about 'leaked' GTX 1070 performance? More interested to see how it compares to a Titan X.

Hmm... performance gains definitely better than Titan X, but not quite as good as I expected
I guess 1080 Ti or the Pascal Titan would do justice. 4k 60fps much more achievable now with the 1080, 50-59fps on average at 2160p. QUOTE(Calvin871989 @ May 17 2016, 11:41 PM) I think I might just change my mind now and wait for 1080ti instead of 1080. Hmm its a very tough desicion. Buy 1080 now or wait for 1080ti ... 1080 Ti I know Nvidia didn't showcase full Pascal potential with the 1080 just yet. This post has been edited by defaultname365: May 17 2016, 11:44 PM |

980 Ti still holding up well against the 1080.
Well, to be fair, the 1080 is suppose to be compared to 980, in which case it is 2x 980 (and most benchies prove that) - which is remarkable and kudos to Nvidia. If want the 980 Ti be beaten squarely by Pascal, the 1080 Ti would do that. Right now, 4k30fps is comfortably achieved with the 1080, some nearing 50s. The 1080 Ti, I truly believe will finally (ok, this time 'finally' final) be the single GPU solution to 4k60fps in the big games. The 1080 is undoubtedly the most powerful single GPU on the planet at the moment, hail to the king! Now... can't wait for 1080 Ti This post has been edited by defaultname365: May 18 2016, 10:31 AM |
