Is this good deal?

I've done 4 fuel ups since receiving my Vios, right now I'm getting 11.85 km/L. My drives are usually from PJ to Cyberjaya and back. Hope this help pertaining to fuel consumption.

Addition to this, I realise that the car steer and handles better than my old Almera. I look forward to driving it everyday, believe it or not.. I downloaded a chart from their website that tells me about the servicing and it shows it is actually cheaper to maintain than the old Vios because perhaps one of the reasons would be electronic steering.

Give it a few more service to adapt. Probably his car same with my fren which only start seeing more mileage after the 3rd service onwards.

An update to my previous FC (11.85), current fuel up is showing 12.76 km/L

I'm a proud owner of the Vios E and I consider it an upgraded from the Almera. Why I say it is an upgrade:

-it has child lock for the rear doors.
-isofix for the rear seat.
-reverse camera's handy.
-cabin noise is the same like Almera and perhaps a bit better, but most of the time I have my phone plug into the head unit.
-handling is noticeably better than the Almera.
-electronic power steering.

Cons:
-I wish it had the fuel consumption calculator built in.
-nicer steering wheel.

Wish to share that I have also installed rear roll bar to further improve handling. Unbelievably, it actually does make a difference.

First service is RM 119.
Engine oil, oil filter, wash liquid.

1st service = 1k km (mineral)
2nd service = 5k km (mineral)
3rd service = 10k km (semi synthetic)

Thats why 2nd to 3rd service 5k because they were using mineral oil.

Yes i know.. Depend on ur engine oil.. If u r using mineral 5K.. If u r using semi or fully synthetic 10k..
Toyota service centre will recomended semi 10K, 20K, 30K......

E spec.
So far so good. I have both H.city and T.vios CVT at home.
In term of specs, H. city is winner.
However, the car is for driving not by just looking at horse-power and the number of USB and HDMI port u have in the car.
If you liked "softer" handling, "lighter" feel of steering, then City will be your choice.
T. vios CVT is more "solid" in term of handling. The acceleration will not give u immediate power but smooth increase of the speed. It is due to CVT and tuning. Personally i like Vios handling more than City. I like Vios CVT version the moment i tested drive the car after I have driven H.city for more than 2 weeks.

Build quality, seat comfortableness - i will go for Vios. Better seat quality as it is harder (my personal preference, some ppl like softer seat). Level of sound-proof is normal, not too bad. Driving at 140km/h (slightly more than 2000rpm) is smooth and stable. 1900rpm at 110-120km/h. One thing i dont like about the seat is "the dirt sticks quite easily".

Apparently the car still have lower arm issue. I have made a complain and UMW will get back to me soon. Heard the noise from front only during raining day, overhump. These two conditions must be there to give you this noise.

Not sure if it is isolated case. My H.city is red in color. The quality is not good. Polishing the car leaves some spots on the surface. No issue with Vios so far.
Space wise, City is definitely more spacious but space of Vios is surely sufficient to cover 5 average adults in car.

Speaker sound quality is above average, touch screen player is very responsive. Air-cond fan produces reasonable noise even at level 3 (4 is the max).
Front doors is heavy, rear doors are relatively lighter. I think the quality is acceptable.

My latest FC is 13.5km/l, mileage of less than 1k.

p/s:i just installed the anti-roll bar. It makes difference esp during cornering. More stable even with greater speed.

i had Raytech tint on mine..7years warranty..so far so good..been 5 years already

i faced engine mounting issue when collect my car since first day....5 months ady now still in progress...

Usually what will they recommend for 1k?

I own a New Vios 2017

Need to confirm,

Any new vios ownner has facing this problem, belt rewind sound ( sound like rewind cassette ) when turn the power steering and start to move ?

The sound mostly come out when your turn the car steering and start to move out from car park or when you start to move your car. the sound time flame is short and silent after this

The toyota service guy said is normal and i'm been inform that, all toyota vios got this issue. isn't ?
