Hi all sifu owner , please let me ask about the Eco indicator on vios j.
I just got my new vios j this month. The manual says that the Eco indicator will on if I drive on low speed , but regardless low or high , I didn't saw it light on before while driving
I only will saw it on while start engine for 3 to 4 sec only .after that it will disappear .

I am sure that ,
- Eco mode is on at the odometer long press
- drive on slow speed or normal speed , never over 90km

I just done my 1000 service today and the service guy say the light did on , only on at low speed , but after I get back the car I don't see it on .

Am I misunderstanding something or this is my car problem ?

In this case i think my Eco lights are broken or something.
I have double check the Eco settings is on, and my speeds are 60-90 , and pedal are stepped light.
I don't see the lights on even once. I only saw it on when i push start the engine only for 3-4 seconds.
I understand the eco indicator is just for info only but i think i need to go toyota and claim about this since this is new car so i need everything is working.

I am new vios owner and what i have found out is, under the vios body it have a metal bar to protect things to hit the body. When you go too fast on a bump, your car body will jump low due to the spring and that metal bar will hit the bump. If you are fetching 4-5 people,it will still hit even going slow due to heavy. But don't worry as it looks like that metal is quite hard and it won't damage so easily. ( Last time when i go too fast on a bump and i hear that hitting sound, i went down and check the metal have no problem and somehow the bump on the road has cracked )

Mine also second month this month, so far no problem yet but will report if my engine also start to dropping.

I will say like reduce 50%. Not totally gone but it did low down the noise.
It will take out the sharpness of the wind noise.



If i install just exactly the "door fin" lenth that 3rd gen vios have , it will just fit nice and no problem with open and close both front and back door.

But if install top over abit and try to cover the entire door gap (since the "door fin" did not reach until the top part ) , it will have rubber screeching sound and it will drop off when you open the back door and front door together.
If i drive with that condition i can hear rubber ratting sound as well.

For horizontal margin it did not have problem because the rubber middle have space and it will just compress it self while door is closing.

Sure , this is how i install on my door. Just follow exactly the fin position.






Some tips on the installation is the metal is really hard ( until finger pain ) so when you successfully install it, better dont take it out or else it will hurt your finger when you try to press it back when it become loose.

For checking the difference of the noise i take it out so many times and it become loose and i have hard time on my finger.



I think it is different item . The one i using is not double side tape and is clip type.

Even have car overcome from speed lane or drive fast at opposite car lane the wind noise won't come in?
For me basically the big wind noise will come in at these timming.
And the rubber did reduce the "sharpness" of it. ( Not gone, just reduce )
Maybe eveyone is different.

The rubber don't have arrow but the top of the rubber is like below so you will know where is top.



It have L and R mark show you which is for which door, L is passanger and R is for driver side.
It don't have edge but when you cut the extra rubber from the bottom, need to make sure the bottom part don't end with metal so that it won't scratch your paint. ( I just simply cut it but it never end with metal and rubber cover it so i think no need to think too much )

by the way i attach and take out it so many times and my paint did not have single scratch so it is safe

Vios J 2015 doesn't have motor on side mirror. The module won't work

What model is yours ? I am using Original DVX (no navigation) + reverse camera as well but the touch screen is quite laggy escpecially browse song thru usb. ( tap and lag 3 seconds like loading )
When use bluetooth connect to phone and call the built in mic is not so loud volume as well which i always get complaint my voice is low.

What resolution is that video? My player is not dvdavn but i have the same problem if i use high resolution one.
760p MP4 cannot play but 360p MP4 can play without problem.

Don't worry, my friend also find it out after one year.
I also won't realise if i didn't add the fog light at my vios j.

Sure, I only open the front and rear fog lamps when it is really heavy raininig day.
I do that since begining because i realise if i keep on opening it i will need to change 8 bulbs at a time when it comes to life.

Last month i send my car to Toyota Subang for 10k service. Then last week i realise my chrome bar is making sound when i touch it. I see properly and i saw 2 screws for holding the front chrome bar is missing.
Reported to them and they say maybe the Toyota Subang car washing person snatched it.
Beware guys.

Which year is your vios ?
My 2015 vios doesn't have that issue for me but my friend's 2013 is abit noisy according to him. We compare and knock our car roof and we found out 2013 model's sound is louder and thinner.

My friend reported to SC and they fix it for him by warranty coverage. Now is much more silent then before fix according to him.

Cost me RM 327. Similiar to 10000 km service.

How come so fast need to service aircond already ?? Your aircond should be still cold right ?
My service item is below. Similiar with 10,000km service. I just went last month only for 20,000km service.

Unless your aircond have problem i suggest you go other Service centre . Btw i went Shah Alam SC.

Yesterday i start to encountered this kind of strange sound when brake at some place have water.
But at the place no water is ok. Its this normal ? 3rd gen vios.
