hi , my car Vios 2012, which when sometime crossing bump the will hear "knuck" sound on my driver side.

go to service center they say my front absorber need to replace one set which cost RM1000 within all the labour and alignment charge.

but i dont think is the absorber problem...hmm dont have leaking, when press the car it still ok, cornering and uneven road still working fine like before.

anyone here face this situation before ?Why they dont think is absorber bush , mouting bush problem?

and normally how many KM you all replace your front absorber? (i know quiet depend on the road i drive, i just want to know roughly...)

i suggest you change the sotck RIM so at least look more nicer huh... ... just suggestion bro

the RIM 17" might too big for Vios, my opinion. and Tyre is more expensive too ... i think change 15" or 16" will be nicer. Also i found that (Vios G stock rim Chrome/Silver color) is more easy to match with our car color.

Just online search or monitor on others Car, see which RIM color is more match to your car.... different ppl like different style la.

I use Michellin XM2 for my Vios, or Pirrelli PZero will be my choice. Too bad Michellin PS3 don't have my tyre size .

headlight are expensive if want to MOD and make sure you buy the QUALITY one... some not quality masuk WAP and WATER sometime.


my Vios J Spec install TRD sport whole set... no problem at all at all KL area bump(Normal speed not HIGH speed even crossing bump), but i using all stock suspension. So make sure your suspension is stock i confirm ok...

In the end, i believe you change RIM + whole set the body kit... you sure satisfy ady... except you want extreme MOD... haha

Last time i was post my car situation when got knuut knuuk when passing bump in uneven road.

1st SC i service always - They say is absorber problem, ask me to change absorber , i dont really think so, because my absorber dont have leaking, all cornering was still fine and when press on it. It still HARD.

so i went to another SC
2nd SC. They say they confirm is lower arm problem. Need to replace two side lower ARM which one SIDE COST RM1000 plus... Seriously ?? my car just 70k, only 3 year plus need to replace lower arm already? i always drive in KL, not hardcode road i drive .. So fast wear out?

I driving Vios 2012 second gen...my milleage now is about 73000km

I facing problem which when slow speed cross bump sometime infront will have sound "ngok ngok"... after go Toyota Service center two times
one tell me absorber rosak, but i dont think so. because cornering and pressing all still good

another one tell me lower arm rosak, and quote me for RM3000+ to replace both front. Which i think possible because they try to apply oil on lower arm the sound obviously reduce but still got



I want to ask anyone facing this problem also and change their lower arm before? you all change whole set or change the bush only? can tell me where can change bush if you know?

Where do you guy service your air cond? for 1st 30k i go to Toyota service center cost for RM3++... when 60k Toyota quote me for RM6++ for service, then i go outside Air cond shop (this shop only Specialist for Air cond only ), not that type accessories shop road side say got air cond service that type (many of those are not pro)

I go the shop ask the uncle service my air cond, he say Vios second gen where got need service air cond one, if need service ... cooling coil and all. I need to diassemble all the dashboard to get the cooiling coil. You only need change the cabin filter, after he check. the Cabin filter dirty then replace cabin filter RM3+ only. Thats it.
And he say toyota seem like scam people, service RM300++... take out the gas then refill the gas again... what is the purpose for this?


now i run 20k more... milleage 80k.... feel that the air cond is weird, turn to high is cold... turn to middle also cold but it is like abit not really cold enough. I check my cabin filter is still not really dirty... So i want to ask is it I need to go back to Toyota service to service the air cond again?
