Hi all, newbie here!

I am a proud owner of 2017 Vios GX variant. However i have 1 issue with the HU which is the DVD-AVX. 

When i want to use reverse camera during day time around 10am-4pm the screen is very dark and i cant see object in the screen eg car or line. It become better only during 7pm onwards. Fyi, there is no issue with brightness as it is in maximum condition.

Already report to SC Unihub Auto in Puchong but he said it is normal for new facelift model 

Is anyone else also face the same issue with me?

Saw got Indo websites got sell dual vvti emblem.. but today Vios is using CVT 7 speed.

i just gotten my Vios today.
been driving vios 1st gen, wanted to wait for the new 2017 (which was on display in Thailand) but that facelift is not coming to malaysia anytime soon.

first time driving CVT, although is similar to 4-speed auto, but need a little bit of getting use to it, especially during pickup and going uphill

Hi all! I recently purchased the new Vios 2017 - G(AT)

Everything's fine except for the multimedia player, not sure if any of u have this or have solution or not

1) If i press the Off button, when it opens, the setting resets and it asks for my language, and i have to set the time again.

2) When i use spotify to play song via bluetooth, the display will show the song i am playing but when the next song comes on, the song name is still the same, only the bar (that shows timer for song) updates.

Anyone has a solution before I contact my sales representative? Or should i wait for 1000 km to fix in service center?

1. no happened.
2. very seldom use Bluetooth. not aware of it.

but I use usb pendrive to play song. I found 1 problem. if you choose shuffle/ random, every time after u restart your car, the song playlist sequence will remain the same.

Anyone been to Wing Hin 4S SC at the Balakong there before? How is the service quality over there? From FB page, it seems more unsatisfactory than satisfaction.

i dont really wait for the light to turn off, though i start the engine and let it idle for a min or so before driving (only in the morning) to let the engine warm up a little.

i just notice something lately, perhaps it was there all along but i didnt notice it.
1. there is a "squish" sound when i drive in the morning, after that no more. notice this sound for a few days. when driving no "squish" sound, but if stop the engine for few hours, the sound will come back when turning.
2.the engine sound kinda "rough" when driving around the 30 - 50 kph.

thinking of highlighting the issue when i do the 5k service.

Already make booking for my 1st service. Some questions cross my mind.

1. I make the booking via phone app, which shows estimated RM159(inclusive of GST) for the first service. However, I find the maintenance package on the Toyota website were not so tally with the price that quoted in app. Anyone been done their first service recently? Mind to shed some light on this? How much it normally cost?

2. This is the 3rd week since I got my car, however, there is a rattling noise coming from the passenger side pillar/dashboard there. It only make noise when the car is moving, even on flat even road it also will make the noise. I prefer to highlight this issue during my service. Is it okay to do so? Or I need to have another round of booking with them just to diagnose the rattling noise problem?

3. HU keep reset at random time. Anyone reported and get the issue solved?

I estimate my car mileage this weekend will be 700km. Need to go back hometown this weekend. I called toyota cheras and they advise me to come service the following weekend. Over 1000km is fine as long within the month.
Is the info correct?

Alright. Then i come back and service the following week.
The car so far so good. Havent half tank already 250km.

My 2014 vios is clocking 81000km soon.

Any particular part I shud change?

I normally change engine oil and oil filter @ 10000km intervals

Few years of owning vios.. felt fed up with the stock player.. changed into this into this one... sounds better than stock!!
