Just installed both anti-roll cornering bar and rear stability bar ( 30 mins) at rm7xx, get a better carpet, installed tail gate 2 feets long led light(bottom between rear fog lights) using 3M doublesided tape ( 10mins ) connected to 3rd braking cable and put extra holding hook hanger for my 2 months old car.. Went to eksos shop, put bigger and nice looking chrome eksos head for rm 100 (abt 15mins ). Removed the J, E, G, GX or TRD signage, wax the surface.

Just do it, as salary week.. No need to think about warranty. hmm.. now, I m thinking to search for nice "Japanese TRD" car sticker to suit car colour, get bigger dvr storage, add few good speakers or change wheel bigger 16" rim in next salary week?

Today (28 March 2017), my wife send car for 2nd Service at Pandan Indah.

Checked Vios Maintenance Package, cost for 2nd service will be RM 79.00.

However, my wife inform total cost charge was RM187.90.  RM 119 + Balancing + Alignment Cost.

Maintenance adviser claim this price, due to following reason:
1. Sale advisor, claim that Toyota no longer allow Mineral oil and must use semi syn oil.
2. Must carry out balancing & alignment, otherwise warranty is void.

Is it true? Worry my wife kena con.

According to Toyota Service Center Penang, the new car does not use mineral oil anymore.
For the 1st and 2nd services, they are using semi-synthetic oil.
And, from 3rd service onwards, they will use fully synthetic.
[Wheels Alignments & Balancing]

I believe this is optional; I did ask the service charge of wheels alignments and balancing for Toyota Fortuner, if not mistaken, the service advisor mentioned hunderd over ringgits. I was shocked and asked why so expensive, then he claimed that the calibration machine they used is tune by Japanese technician every three (3) months. But in the end, I still perform this service at outside tires shop.

Yaya, i drop my car from 11am until 6pm for engine mounting insulation. After done, i feel sound is still there, but got decrease. No , even my glove box is empty  or open, i also hear the sound from my dashboard, Another is breaking pad switch, when i press break than release some and press again will have tak tak sound, that one cannot be do. That is normal my service center advisor, do u have this ? Yours one is new dual vvti model or old one ?

Thx YunR, I also hope this is common, this version VIOS seen like many sound. Another one is dashboard there, i think is because i park outside everyday, than dashboard sound , when it is hot.......do u have the dashboard sound?  What version u bought on vios ? Dual VVTI or 4sp AUTO?

Historical established automotive lean manufacturing like FMEA, SPC, Poka Yoke, 5S, TPM, 8D report, Root cause analysis(RCA) ..etc many more, already proven Toyota worldwide sales and many peoples judgments seluruh dunia. Vios engine is using Double OHC(DOHC) , while Vios competitor is using Single OHC(SOHC) engine.

Only in this country, people choosing good accessories over Vios. VIOS Rear disc brake is extremely important to stop the car efficient, effective and confidently, rather than giving you many fancy accessories.. For lady driver, 5.1M turning radius is important too. Make an appointment visit to Vios competitor 's assembly plant in Pegoh, Melaka, you will see their Lean automotive manufacturing, as well as thousand of New cars parking in very very big land under raining and hot sun daily. Just my previous visit observation findings..

i agreed with now youngster going towards to city more than vios due to those 6 air bags, every seat got usb, better DRL (new 2017 fl, i personally prefer this as well) but all that goes to personally view. for me i prefer lesser problem in future especially come to service car. so i prefer to take toyota. what i feel is we dont stay in the car for like 10 hours per day. i rather choose the one bring lesser problem to me now and future which i expect to drive the car for around 10 years.

i disagree laa.. honda is a much better car then ours.. driven the new city 2015 and i tell you, much better then this brand new vios.. comfort and styling aand performance of the VTEC.. much superior laa. Toyota have all the models passenger and commercial vehicles, but honda, just their passenger car number is more then ours combined.. That shows Malaysian like any other nationality, have their own preference and it can be for a good reason. Thought the new engine and gear box was a game changer for Vios but definitely not the case lah.. Honda does seem a tad superior then us.

With all of these, I can't understand a single bit why you buy Vios in the first place, not at all. 

For GX and TRD ( dark chrome), normal G ( normal chrome).
For other specs, no front chrome grill bar.., but normal front cover that follow car colour..

If your car ( called "2nd wife" ) want to look beautiful when go out on the road, usually these girls want to wear nice skirt(body skirting) and nice shoe( 4x nice GX / TRD rims )..

Nowadays many J, E or G specs "wife"  already civilized, upgraded and wore body skirting cost from 850 - 1200 depending on skirting materials(abs, pu,ppu..etc), and 4x nice shoes(rim) cost 1500 and above..  Most importantly, upgrade depending on your earning ability , not for the sake of nice.. step by step..
