QUOTE(sa10 @ Mar 8 2016, 02:28 PM) the refinement could be different. I don't think they redefined... They only change looks and some bar bar thing inside. Because what they say the 5th or 6th gen will have new engine block. im not sure 1NZ-FE in vios malaysia is buatan malaysia or thai-made, but if compare to JDM 1NZ-FE, the JDM one pretty sure have better refinement. what is JDM btw? |

QUOTE(RoxyMunky @ Apr 4 2016, 04:12 PM) is the engine mounting in good condition? that part is air filter --> throttle body assembly.. perhaps the housing clip loose? QUOTE(laith @ Apr 4 2016, 05:17 PM) The mounting looks good. This one i can't confirm since this only can be checked at workshop after purchased. I just change the new mounting for my 06 vios. The red circle part will still vibrate even my mounting is brand new. At first I suspect there is something wrong and I request to have a new set of mounting after following 3 days replacement, all the process, under my supervision, still the same part vibrate. During start up vibrate real strong. I don't know what to do anymore actually, the mechanic do what he can do, I did what I can. But what changed is that when in D, the car isn't vibrate anymore. I might just need to confirm this is a minor issue which can be fixed within 2-3k (engine mounting, drive shafts, lower arms, front rear suspensions, fan belts, etc). Do you think this could be the cause? http://www.mycarforum.com/topic/2659768-vi...-problem/page-3 QUOTE(RoxyMunky @ Apr 4 2016, 05:31 PM) looks and feels different bro. Sifu. Whenever my car reach 90kmh, the car have significant "ngung.... ngung... ngung...." sound, which is more or less like bee sound. And it will end at 100kmh. Sharp. I noticed really long time already. What can be the reason? engine mounting is tear and wear parts. try start the car, engage D, stand still and see if the vibration is harsh on steering and floor pan. drive shaft issue is only noticeable upon speed pickup. lower arms would be running over uneven road and see if there's any "ngok ngok" noise. same goes to suspensions. fan belts are the screeching sound. hope above help. |

QUOTE(therain01 @ Apr 4 2016, 10:20 PM) QUOTE(RoxyMunky @ Apr 5 2016, 12:47 PM) check if its either pregnant tyres or wheel bearing. tyres new. just 7000 km. or spoilt absorbers that caused uneven tyre threading, hence creating the noise. no issue, helping out only. try Caltex Techron fuel for few tanks. it got cleaning agent that helps to reduce carbon residue in the combustion sytem. wa, if wheel bearing like very expensive...... is that common wheel bearing exposed to wear and tear... damnmnnnnnnnnnnnn |

regarding the ngong ngong sound, I check with 2 mechanic. Both say the same thing which the bearing is in normal condition. The sound produced is from the tyre itself.

QUOTE(akallen @ Apr 9 2016, 09:45 AM) Its worth trust me its worth. I thinking to change also.QUOTE(DreamerTKM @ Apr 9 2016, 10:04 AM) So far I'm quite satisfied with the output. It's slightly whiter & brighter compared to original bulb and at the same time it won't cause any glare issue like HID. However, the light output still considered little yellowish, if you are looking for those 4300K++ white bulb type, then this might not the correct choice for you. QUOTE(DreamerTKM @ Apr 9 2016, 12:05 PM) I get it for RM130 at accessories shop. However, if purchase from trustable online store, possible to get with price < RM100. Nice light you have. But you sure 130 pair? That's cheap Leh. Cheapest I find in garage sales is 190 pair. Outside also 190 pair. My close mechanic also 180 pair....And how to know the power consumption of stock bulb? And power consumption of nightbreker? I don't wish to kacao my circuit. I am a stock man.... |

QUOTE(RoxyMunky @ Apr 8 2016, 10:06 PM) Try swap rear tyre to front. Yea... I think I tyre. See after rotation how. 4000 km more to service rotate coolent eo.... Arghhh cost bomb again. Damn reliable. Common problem is the intercooler hose. Maintenance is pricier as the parts are rather costly. So far no major issue. No problem. I asked them ad. If bearing problem, the sound getting loud after hitting some speed. It won't disappear like mine. |

QUOTE(DreamerTKM @ Apr 9 2016, 07:37 PM) Yeap. I managed to get that price last time. Perhaps your headlamp bulb different? J & E spec using H4 bulb, while G & TRD spec using HIR2 (which I don't know night breaker got this type or not) Its H4. I see the bulb ad. Osram H4(stock)... You may refer the manual for actual bulb size & wattage of each bulb. (page 401) Also, the osram package also got mention the bulb voltage & power consumption. Installing the headlight is plug & play so no worry. NOTE: What I'm saying here is really plug & play, some shop may tell you it's plug & play for certain accessories but in the end they still do some wire tapping. Mine is G spec first version. So, is H4 liao. Osram hard to get.. most shop do not have it. They introduce those PIAA night tech which I don't think is good... |

QUOTE(DreamerTKM @ Apr 12 2016, 03:16 PM) If you have any good choice for your fog lamp, do let us know Better don't play play with the circuit wehhhh I will change it one day. Studying the side effect if installing 55W H11 bulb type to replace the 19W H16 type (Worry too high power consumption cause fuse always burned). ***Not planning to install HID though can be very scary!! I just got my handbook... wait I upload the reading. see got overload or not because I too noob in this... T.T |
