To Pheng011: Higher than aftermarket 15 wheel, but less than 2k

To Ancient-XinG: I got no objection on the 16inch, I like it too. Just that the odd size of 195/50/R16 which match out 185/60/R15 not much tyre choice available.
For aftermarket 16inch, the offset might cause we hit the rear fender. Original will go without problem  rclxm9.gif  If really got ppl can import 16 inch thai version and price ok, I don't mind to change. Else might just stay with original rim/get GX rim.

Which Vios are you?

Made a telephone call to Service Centre(SC), my known regular Service Advisor(SA) made booking and expected
to be arrived in 2 days.  G emblem cost 44  and  X  emblem cost 77 .    2x separate emblem entities.

Any good + nice 16" RIM photo to share here ?  Any vendor / supplier can benchmark and source it?
Plan to source cool white Philips LED for small headlamp / FOG lamp in next changes.
The LED white bulb / LED light for car number plate is COOL at night.. Thanks.

Guys, I need your unbiased opinion;
I don't want to begin a new thread and attract unwanted trolls, so I'd just like to ask directly to owners instead.

Yesterday, I tested both the Vios (GX) and City (V).
Currently, I'm using my parents MyVi and I'm planning to upgrade to either City (S) or Vios (J)

The MyVi is honestly just fine, FC is very good (average 6 l/100km from my Fuelly), service is very cheap and it's very reliable.

The drawback is the poor driving posture (arms hurt), safety (no VSC and shitty handling - evasive manouveres not ricer) and it's not mine (parents car is getting old, I should really return this back to them. They don't mind, but I do)

Anyway, what's the key difference between Vios (J) and City (S). So far I'm leaning towards the City for the following reasons;
i) FC seems good for both, roughly like the MyVi
ii) Quieter than the Vios - Vios engine very noisy under hard acceleration
iii) More spacious than Vios
iv) Cheaper than Vios
v) Maintainence seems reasonable - slightly more expensive from the MyVi
vi) Has buttons on steering as standard
vii) Stock HU looks better to me
viii) Foldable rear seats - Vios don't have right?

Am I missing something with the Vios?
Why did you guys prefer Vios over City?
Is the Vios more reliable?
Or is the built quality better?
How about rattling for both, which is better?
What is the most obvious advantage that the Vios has over the City?
Any of you regretting getting the Vios?

Sorry for typing here for too long, thanks smile.gif

Hope you want to listen to my story.
Currently also using parents car, which takeover from my sis.
Initially, the car was in reall good condition and my sis drive it secretly. We kantoied her and I really want that car back to my parents side, but parent heart soft let it be. I know I am going and have to use car when I am studying and she should able to buy her own a car but end up leeching here and there and drive it for 5 years.
After that I takeover forcefully, *as talking moral and principle doesn't work in my family, thus I use tricks and mind game.
When I takeover, only then I realize what she did is ONLY ENGINE OIL CHANGE EVERY 10K KM YEARLY BATTERY
Others no.
Once I drive, radiator leak till warning and cant drive it at all. need to be towed back.
After that I go to my trusted mechanic and do what ever need to be done
-radiator tank
-gear oil
-good EO
-brakes
-engine mount
-absorber and struts
-braking system
-4 tyres
-battery
and others forget
all in all around 10k spends.

I feel really bad for that 10k. I was wanted to buy new car but still a student is not necessary. I tell myself, buy my own only after working and don't be like my useless sis. Work ad still no financial independent.

But if yore working, I think you can buy the city now. As I am really really against Toyota Vios, lol but I am driving one.

But if you want to save for future, I think myvi is a good car until you want to upgrade to a C SEG car, because for me vios, city and myvi is the same range car....

Thanks for the honest feedbacks guys! I guess I'm gonna do a little bit more of waiting before purchasing, I'm in no rush. Maybe by next year.

But currently I'm inclining to the City, more value for money  sweat.gif

Thanks again!

Hey, I just re read your post. That day was abit hurry. I notice you wanted to upgrade was due to the sitting position and driving pleasure.

why not you test drive Mazda 2, a more driver orientated car?

Give it a try and can compare among 3 B segment car.

Changed my front small lamp and number plate bulbs to Philips x-treme ultinon t10 6000k led bulbs. You guys shld try 6200k or 6700k for small led lamp/number plate bulbs. Very nice in the evening( 6:45pm - 7:20pm). I got No plan to change fog or main headlamp to white, because of the regulation..

LOL.

Buy car according to your financial status.

Something skipped will cause problem in claiming anything. They will have thousand reason to reject you.

Just saying.,
