I know rear is around RM1k including paint and installation Toyota SC price. No idea for front.

My family's P42 had the rear replaced around 2 years ago.

I'm worry that with the price, you can get higher quality product at outside trustable shop...unless you wait longer until you can get a second hand unit...

My Vios mounting rosak, almost coming to a year old car. Is it common?

now got discount 30% at toyota sc... im changing mine ncp42 for 1.4k all in with whatever bushing and brackets and whats not.

my car now have a seem like a whine noise only at speed 50kmh, not a grinding or squeaking noise..noise like a belt whine (woo sound) but only when the car move, no whine in idle, only sound at speed 50kmh, after that speed no whine sound

check auto tranny fluid level - optimum, not dirty or smell burn (still red color)
check EO level - optimum
checking v belt - not loose and not so tight (no whiny sound when idle)
checking coolant - optimum (no leak)
no trasmission jerking, stiff or stuck, acceleration smooth
turn ac on /off also got sound
sound only at speed of 50kmh, below and above the speed no whine sound
recent services: EO and oil filter change, air filter and spark plug (from toyota SC) last month
mileage: 120,000km

nope, but the sound only when i press the gas, if i let off the gas pedal no sound.. so i don't think its a wheel bearing

Which Petrol do you pump usually and find it is good in term of higher RPM, Performance and FC?

Personal experience:

BHP + Caltex - High RPM(slightly above 1K) , Performance Pickup so so,  FC = average.
PETRONAS - Low RPM (0.25 below 1K), Average pickup performance and FC = slightly average
Petron - RPM + Pickup performance + FC = slightly better..
Shell -  RPM = averg , Performance pickup = weak, FC = high ( drink water )

Is semi / full synth or mineral oil engine lubricant makes a lot different ? Just curious .

My 7 years old vios 2 produce "ngok ngok" noise upon crossing bumps I'm suspecting lower arms Problem, workshop quoted me about rm2k for lower arms replacement, that is rediculas! Anybody here change or "repair" the lower arm before?

I went to Toyota SC and they said my lower arm bush cracked and probably absorber also weakening.

Then they send me a quotation that cost me almost 5k to replace the following:

ABS Link x 2 x RM374
Lower arm RH x 1 x RM 1716
Lower arm LH x 1 x RM 1716

It is a 2010 vios and 5k is really alot to me. I am planning to go to other workshop to see if it is cheaper and fix it.

Question is:

1) Is it necessary to change the ABS link?

2) The lower arms quoted, is it inclusive of the absorber or just the lower arm bush? I don't recall the lower arm bush to be so pricey.

3) How do I tell the mechanic in the other workshop to fix this? I'm a noob in this, I scared later I kena con by the mechanic.

Which supplier you contacted? Local TRD/GX rim cost quite an amount of $$$, so don't expect thai's ori 16 inch can be cheap though. Might be 2k+
