2011/2012 - Buy: 52.9m, Sell: 14.75m, Total spend: 38.15m, players still left: De Gea, P. Jones, A. Young
2010/2011 - Buy: 27.2m, Sell: 13.65m, Total spend: 13.55m, players still left: C. Smailing, J. Hernandez, A. Lindegaard
2009/2010 - Buy: 21m, Sell: 85.5m, Total spend: -64.5m, players still left: A. Valencia

After Ronaldo left, we have addictional 64.5m to spend. SAF spent a total of 102.7m. 102.7m - 64.5m = 38.2m. SAF only spent 38.2m on his last 3 seasons!!! And that does not include the club earning. From this 38.2m, Smailing, Jones, Lindegaard, Young, De Gea still in Man Utd squad. And 22m of this 38.2m is also spending on RvP who won us title.

So I am making a theory here. SAF is saving the transfer war chest for upcoming Manager. He knew it will be hard for new mgr to takeover him. So he save the money to help the new mgr. Assume each season we have 50m warchest. In last season of SAF, he has at least 150m to spend.

btw mata not on wings because i stil think wing plays suit us best. w adm,. young ,depay and pereira can cover a lot of field area. mata best play at center la.

Is there any buy out clause for Lewan's contract?

Who here is expecting us to win comfortably against Spurs at the start of the season? I anticipate it will be a hard game, but if we rick roll them like we did last season, wouldn't be a problem.

Everyone keeps forgetting we had a horrible first 5-6 months with the constant chopping and changing our line up and CB's especially because every keeps getting injured.

Touchwood we stay clear of injuries this season and we stand a chance to fight in all fronts.

Even if we don't sign a CB or ST this year, I will still be happy. Why? Because we heavily depended on Carrick last season, and I am highly confident with the two "sch" protecting our back four and springing attacks and with the two amigos running the show on occasions, we'll definitely be up there.

And i'm surprised Herrera has become the forgotten man, I remember last season, some of people in this thread was crying out for Herrera to play when he was constantly benched.. Apa lagi you mau, Pedro, Benz? Then we'll be where we started last season.
