Hi new owner here too.

where do you find a 2012 2.0 for RM22k?

Hey it's a private deal tongue.gif

Btw guys, my default player is this:

user posted image

But sadly, it's spoilt and I need to get it changed. This media player has a mic input right as indicated at the bottom right corner? If so, it'll be good as I can go handsfree when answering/making calls tongue.gif (Was even thinking of getting a portable bluetooth speaker with mic function haha)

Thanks bro, just saw it. Do all Proton Inspira from 2010 until now have it or only the newer models? Mine is a 2011 model (made a mistake in my previous post)

Eh guys, my rear window gets fogged up at night and how do I use the demister actually. There are 2 demister icons at the air conditioning knob, one with the demister icon only, the other demister icon with some arrows (air coming in from the bottom, our legs area)? What about temperature, what should I set it at?

Hey guys, is the Meguiar Ultimate Quik Wax a good choice for wax if I've never waxed my car before. Got my car 2nd hand and I don't think the previous owner had waxed/polished it before but the car is in good condition though (no scratches, chipped paint, etc) but just not shiny/glossy thats all.

Read that the Quik Wax is best used as a secondary wax, on top of existing wax application (I'm assuming it's clay or liquid type)?

its better off as a topper, and for toppers, my recommendation has got to go to sonax BSD smile.gif

Thanks. Guess I might get it as a topper..

Deciding between Liquid Wax and Paste Wax.

This video below mentioned Paste Wax will give a more glossy/shiny look like those showroom cars compared to Liquid Wax hmm.gif

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_mQeuqUe2lU

The liquid wax I'm looking at would be Meguiar's Black Wax. Paste wax would be their Ultimate Paste Wax.

Btw, what do you recommend for cleaning/waxing tires and cleaning/polishing the rims as well? Hope there's like a 2 in 1 product biggrin.gif

Hi, quick question. Are the Inspira seats made of leather or faux leather? Mine's a 2011 2.0P hmm.gif

If it's leather, then wanna get a spray to protect it tongue.gif

Hey, wanna ask ah..

1) Meguiar Gold class Carnauba PASTE (11oz) vs LIQUID Wax (16oz) :

Which one will last me longer in terms of number of applications for each item? Difference of 5 oz icon_question.gif

If not mistaken, durability of liquid wax is longer than carnauba right? And also easier to apply hmm.gif

2) Either the two above or Black Wax from Meguiar as well. Can't decide for my black car.. hmm.gif

Attention sifu Quazacolt thanksss blush.gif

1) dont go for gold class carnauba, very horrible durability in our weather.
opt for the ultimate series instead.
paste/liquid ultimate wax no mention on different durability

2) no idea on black wax.
i personally uses poorboy black hole glaze to deal with proton's colorful metallic pigmentation lol.

no sifu, just a lazy detailer who details his car on CNY only laugh.gif

Ultimate Wax has better durability than carnauba?

Again, facing this swirly marks on my black car. It's after waxing. Is it because I didn't thoroughly wipe off excess wax or ? sad.gif

And the wax dried off already, so rubbing in with pressure also don't take away those "swirls".

Very annoying because it's quite apparent on a black car and probably not with lighter colours.

polish.

and look up guides/videos on how you maintain your car so you don't create more swirls.
while one cannot prevent swirl marks from happening entirely, you can at least reduce them so polishing work required is minimized.

additionally theres also masking or glaze/fillers, where you hide the swirls smile.gif

again, those magic 101 products, or lesser/cheaper products, they are cheap for a reason.
they aren't as user friendly, and by that, at a worst case scenario is that they will induce more damage (eg: swirls).

ultimately, and as a general "rule" that is applicable in most situations - you get what you pay for.
*
I think it's excess wax leh, cuz last time when I waxed my car, I could still rub it off. But this time round I think it's too dried off, can't do anything liao. It happens only after I wax.

Or maybe the way I wax and clean/dry is wrong sad.gif

Hey, I'll get you a pic soon. Also noticed some scratches here and there, it could be time to polish it sad.gif

when you tried to rub it off you caused the swirls?

or the swirls was there in the first place and you didnt polish it, waxing hidden the swirls for a while and when you rewax you faced this issue, and while cleaning it off you revealed them?

no need picture.

just polish them off as required, no other way around it.
and when applying wax, follow instruction, and use only thin amounts.

remember: after buffing off wax you'll only be left with micron level of thickness. everything else is excess/waste.
*
Actually I can rub off the "swirls", maybe the shape isn't a swirl lah.. I could do it last time with some cheapo MEZX Wax..

But this time round, I was just using Meguiar Carnauba Quik Wax, can't rub it off.

I think I did spray excessively hmm.gif Will try to use less next time smile.gif
