wah... that low for a 3 year old car? what is the original price ?
*
1.8 cvt launch price is 85k. But due to bad sales. The discount very huge.. One of the member got 9.5k discount .. So he pay 75.5k only.

Due to low popularity, the 1.8 cvt price is the lowest for second hand value as it is missing major stuff like auto climate.. Autolight.. Auto wiper.. Bodykit.. Paddle shift.. Cruise control.. As well as the most important one.. Underpower.. Hence most go for 2.0 .. That is why 1.8 cvt second hand value very low.

Yeah, I've watched some of your video and gone through your experiences with your Iswara and Inspira, you did really put a lot effort to keep them well maintained after a good spin

I'm not sure how the crash happens, but do you personally think if it comes with ESC, will it help to avoid this incident? Just wanna hear your personal experience...
*
FYI,

ASC / ESC / VSA .. is not god like.. it will help in emergency situation .. thou good tires need to pair with it as well.. however it wont help if you drive like a maniac ..

put it this way.. if u are speeding too fast into a conner.. ur car buang .. the ASC / ESC / VSA .. need time to reach, even though it does scan like 160 times / second if i am not mistaken ..

160 / sec = 6.25 ms response time ...

says you travelling 120km/h into a skid ..
120km/h = 2km / minute

33.33 meter / second

33 mm / ms ..

6.25ms = 206.55 mm for it to know you start to skid .. 20cm ..
and when it react .. the tire have limit as well.. if it could take the abuse or not ..

Wow! that was one very fine explaination... Because ESC Sounds quite godlike on papar but I'm doubting the reliability of it... can't say it wasn't helpful at all, just wanna know its limit...  because I also saw forumer said stuffs like... when it buang he try to balance the car back based on his skill but the car also help it to correct, made it over-corrected, I forgot where I saw this line already...
*
yes it is very very USEFUL .. but you need time for it to response .. the example i given .. if u have 1 meter buffer before kena railing . as well as good tires that will grip immediately .. yes it will immediately pull u back straight ..

The first day i install to my car .. i tested midnight 3 am .. (my bad) .. i go towards a small fly over turning right .. at 140km/h .. (tried 120km/h but my tire wont let go .. so ASC no kick in) .. instead when i turn in at 140km/h ... damn .. there was a kancil doing slow in the slow lane (SORRY MY BAD) ... so i turn the steering .. the rear is sliding towards the kancil already .. immediately the ASC kicks in .. and it feels like a roller coaster and pull back straight ..

the point is .. it needs buffer to work .. like Quaza case.. the car already airborne .. nothing is gripping .. how u expect it to work ?

a good example is ... if u are driving 80-100km/h .. suddenly u saw a big hole in front .. so u turn right immediately .. the momentum (or we call weight transfer) .. is still pushing to the straight front (towards the hole) .. but the tire have grip limits .. so it is not turning .. ASC detects skid .. where ur steering is pointing RIGHT .. while the car G-FORCE is going straight ahead .. so what it does , it STOMP HARD on the rear RIGHT BRAKE .. this create like a wheel anchor to the road causing the whole car to rotate RIGHT .. and you gain back control ..

without asc .. when u turn right .. u either skid towards the hole .. or u panic and slam on the brake while turning .. u will go spinning.

BTW, it is really very reliable .. u ask Quaza how many times have ASC saved him ... whistling.gif

Learnt new ESC lesson today  notworthy.gif

And I also just find out ESC can be added on cars that doesn't comes with ESC in Msia (The car must have ESC feature designed by manufacturer just local market is not included) How much would that cost like say to an Inspira? What kind of ppl I should seek for if I want to install?
*
Lancer is a global car ... so those feature not available in the local market can be added (provided the guy know what he is doing and which variant parts to install)..

and yes .. the parts we installing are ORIGINAL MITSUBISHI parts meant for LANCER ... not 3rd party stuff.
after install it is properly calibrated..

I got what u mean now, that's why both of u and K3 keep stressing need tyre with good grip because no use if the car wanna control the wheel but the tyre couldn't act as how the ESC wished

Not sure if you still remember, got 1 vid u posted touring in Sepang one that you got excited seeing civic lost control but at very end your car skid abit but you able to counter back... that time have you installed ESC?
*
his car install ASC at 2000km if i not mistaken ..
but if u are skillful enough to handle the car , you want to off it .. becoz at certain time.. u want the car to slide a bit .. while still carrying the momentum ..

put it this way .. when ASC try to correct your angle of movement .. it will STOMP the brake (individually) .. however if you are still overspeeding .. the ASC will reduce your throttle .. killing the momentum .. thats why pros who can slide the car around properly will tense to off them ..

another fren of us whom install the ASC was save when he was exiting a highway .. u know those BIG ROUND u turning .. especially at Putrajaya .. cyberjaya when exiting highway ? ..
when he turning .. got quite a huge stone .. his wheel hit the stone .. and the car slide .. immediately it straighten the car..
