l am new here and sorry for interupt......
Since in this thread most of u guys in here is more farmiliar with lumix so l have some question to ask.......
l actually wan to buy a camera tat can shoot video and photo and its like 85%video 15%photo so l have made a lot reasearch and found out g7 is the camera l wan......
But problem is why malaysia din have ppl sell g7??
Issit any problem v g7??
What lf l buy in other country and how l claim for warranty??
Or any others camera tat intro but in g7 budget??
*
As per my knowledge, Panasonic Malaysia do not honor warranty of the camera bought outside from Malaysia, aka Grey Set or Import Set.
If the oversea price is too good, go for it and skip the warranty coverage.

Is anyone also using Sony A7 FF series here? What are your thoughts compared to M43 system?
*
I do have A7II and EM5 mark 1.
Depend on which model you are comparing, EM1 as good as FF camera in term of IQ.
But for my sets, my A7II clearly better than EM5.

So this is NOT Apple to Apple comparison.

I have just gotten myself another MF Canon FD lens (just can't resist the dirt cheap price i got it for), the new FD 50mm f1.4, look excellent externally and have it CLA'd, I haven't tested the lens yet and must find time to do it and share some pics here. This lens is said to be super sharp among all the fast 50mm of the time. IMHO this lens would make a nice portrait lens, might be too long for street photography.

Here's an image of the lens: Canon FD 50mm f1.4

My copy is exactly like this one that I picked up from googling sweat.gif

Value for money and good quality.
Just 1.4 quite soft to me and sharp f2.8 onward.

But still overall a very good lens!

Another copy? I thought u already have 1 bro?

So for vintage lens (50mm), this is the fastest, sharpest, and cheapest? ohmy.gif

Last time think of getting 1 of these to try but scare the lens condition due to age. sweat.gif
*
You can try to search in eBay, filter with location = Japan.
Normally Japan unit is quite good and cheaper in shipping.
Read the item description and condition carefully.

here is my units, very clean!

Are all of those pics taken at f1.4? Seems soft to my eye, but they have that distinct classic film look. You didn't use any in-built filters from your a7II did you?
*
I cannot remember what aperture but mainly F1.4.
Yes, as i said, it soft at wide open, f2.8 onward is sharp.
Could be my focusing skill sucks as well biggrin.gif

Let me know if you want me to test on EM5.

These photos process with VSCO app, not full res.

if it has that kind of distinct look, might be very good for video yes?

You meant the VSCO filter effect?
Or the 50mm f1.4?

Did saw LOTS of A7 series playing legacy lens ( from one of FB group I just join ), Helios 44-2 now float around RM200-300  cry.gif
RM100  drool.gif  still possible to one but condition might not be too good  sweat.gif
*
But ppl going after 44M-2 due to its unique swirly bokeh.
My 44M bokeh is kind of normal and not Swirly enough.

What lens are you using on A7II? smile.gif
*
For Sony native lenses, i have FE 55mm f1.8 & FE 28mm f2
For manual lenses, i have Voigtlander 40mm f1.4 & 15mm f4.5
Besides that, I have a bunch of cheap Canon FD vintage manual lenses from 24mm up to 200mm.

Looks nice on GXR. thumbup.gif

White balance not bad leh…

The battery cover will very tight to close? Most reviews say that.

Btw, this small flash is manual for all type of camera?
*
Yes, the battery cover VERY tight! Need to be really careful or it will break easily.

This kind of manual flash works on most of the camera, besides the old Sony Alpha / Minolta hot shoe, those are totally different kind.

I have added a test photo with MK320 at above post for comparison.

If use rechargeable battery also so hard to close, then how to use alkaline battery? sweat.gif

Can mod the battery terminal and make it loosen abit? tongue.gif

I always feel that alkaline battery is a tad bigger.

MK320 looks like -1/3 ev?
*
I think the spring inside the battery compartment is too strong. Maybe after sometime with the battery in will loosen a bit. But the cover hinge is quite weak. Just need to watch out.

Mk320 is more natural and less hash, no?

So from the samples, which one you prefer? JY610II or MK320?

Any alternative option for macro lens ( but with AF ? ) on EM1, other than 60mm f2.8 macro ?
*
Panasonic 45mm macro, by the way, if you are shooting macro, you don't really need AF

Actually i prefer the JY610 ii, I don't like the mk320 color sweat.gif

Personal preference la, just not my cup of tea.
*
With the price that JY610II, it worth very penny!
MK320 a bit warmer and under power.

JY610II is comparable with Nissin i40 in term of the flash output. But recycle time is slower with JY610II. Any way very good flash for casual shooter like me.

Oh…the price…ntg can complain about it…lol… laugh.gif

The mk320 also very high c/p value mah… tiltable and swivel able, the extra led, the usb charging, nicer design…bla bla bla thumbup.gif

Huh? I thought mk320 has higher gn value than the jy-610 ii? ohmy.gif

Talking about i40, i always remembered sai86 still not satisfy about its compact size…haha. Aiya, in this case bigger size better performance mah tongue.gif
*
The MK320 a bit under could be due to the M mode in MK320, the ISO and F value preset to 200 & f5.6, cannot change. Only thing can change in M mode is the Flash output value. JY610II dont have such value and i am not sure what is the preset by default. (I haven't RTFM)

Thanks Botak Wai for the tag.

Lumix 45mm F2.8 macro = RM 2900
Lumix 30mm F2.8 macro = RM 1166

AF not really useful on macro photography,30mm not recommend for shooting bugs.

some my latest macro photo:

45mm f2.8 one ? Price  bye.gif

If want to capture macro with shallow depth of field, need AF is it ? Noob at macro, only shoot once when I have 12-50 kit.
I think need to research on how to use flash on macro as well  hmm.gif
*
By the way, I got my Olympus 60mm f2.8 second hand 2 years ago, RM1200 only. I think TS can look for second hand.
