The first thing to ask.. can we play online from ur CC? for me settings not so important, as long can run smooth on medium or low thats enough, but can we play online from ur plc? tats the most important part.

Online connections? You guys have the original license for all the pcs? I'd like to be able to play in an online server.

even if its online, how is anyone able to play online from a CC?
unless the CC loans you their username/password.
cos the cdkey is already binded to an account and other accounts wont be able to login.

where is this cafe? do u guys have bf2 installed also? if yes we (MBT) would really like to visit u guys this saturday.

Actually, Knight came over to my place a few days ago and wanted to play 2142 using his account. So he tried logging and it worked!

So, how bout you guys try it? Since it worked on my PC...

well u see lets take example BF2,

Many CC install BF2, but u cant play online even after we used our own CD key to play, because of some CC security reason, like Deep Freeze (sorry if wrong spelling).

So my point here, not the original game or not, coz we alreayd have original game, and looking at Apam post, looks like we can log in everywhere as long we have our acc with original cd key, but will there be further problem with software that the CC used when it comes to punkbuster? <-- this is the real question. hehehhe.

aahh blitzone... havent been there since it was Silver Surfer. wasted 3 years of my life there playing CS.

dude, tell you what, just patch your BF2 to 1.4, we will see what we can do & as for BF2142, i believe the available NO-CD patch only allowed you to play "Offline" mode only at the moment.

Why if a CC using pirated Copy nobody make a fuss about it, while if a single player using a pirated copy the mod immediately close the thread?

well, from my exp. most CC here acquire license from the distributor, but the game itself is installed using non legit keys. for example KAOS machines last time installed BF2, but the cdkey there are mostly invalid even tho they have license from gamers (what they told me lah). the only way we can play online is to use our own cdkey.

now they said the license pricing from gamers are killing them, so they had to remove the game from their CC as there not much ppl playing it anyway.

Yes........... we r paying EA-Games license on monthly... they haven't give us the original BF2142 CDs, if until we get the Original CDs then only install it.. maybe on next year kou

wat u mean by tat ?? sometimes we cc owner really hav to buy pirated cd to install FIRST ........when we got the original games from the distributor... its months after the game is out.... and the license agreement thing.... payment.... alot of things to do... so we are buying the game... y not we jus install it FIRST ?

the point is.. if the Game distributors received ur paymant ... then is became legit.

well, for now, things works like tat. u pay for the license, they wont kacau you. u dont pay the licese, ur in deep shit. this is what i heard from cafe's owner. correct me if im wrong

me xav & yos went to blitz last night, met wit DJ_Killmore, tried the PC there & after tempering around with the settings, registry & files, able to get the game to play onlne woot!... was there until 7am in the morning. havent tried BF2 yet.

if possible, dont get pc from the main area. get the one in the next room. main area PC is only P4 with 6600, while the PC's in the extended area is P4D with 7600GS.

but you need to use your own cdkey to play online as duplicate cdkeys are not allowed in a same server (even you are using different valid account).

i doubt that.. but u can patch it if u one, since we patch the 2142 before we play yesterday.

u might need crest to change security settings.

if we patch then after restart it will revert back to 1.0

i guess we need them to apply the patch for us.

yah yah... i just update it to 1.14 patch since u guys required it..

i tried install it b4 (cracked version).. but too much steps for open the game, n i scared customers not know how to run it.. so finially i uninstall it again

we played online 2142 the other day, we tried all 5 lines, and all line lag!, is there a line dedicated for just online gaming?

1000 ping is terrible

indeed... coz we might use ur CC as the new plc for us to play every time we have online match or for LAN session in 2142 or BF2, but we need really good connection for that.

Possible to get 1 gateway just for online gaming? coz those streaming and downloading really make us lag badly.

haizz... for the BF 2142 online playing.. if lag, i got no idea... basically we r using 5 lines in CC, line 1 to 3 are ADSL 2Mbps, Lines 4 to 5 are using SDSL 1.5Mbps. BF2142 online laggy maybe the server in oversea kou and TM XET SuXk...

We play there no lag, just that sometime other people downloading, so we hangkang la.

hmmm... for normal download will not take too much bandwidth in the line... i scare ppl using bitcomet downlord files... must block it asap..

well whatever it was, all 5 lines we tried it was quite bad.

If u can have 1 line lag-free. then it would be awesome as we can play online from there.

well, we just tried for a day. & some more we didnt have a problem after connect to Fragnetic test server.

i dont have a pc & i need to play there since i cant install the game @ KAOS:(

streaming can eat alot of bandwith
i always saw ppl watching prawn and listening to music video using streaming @ cc
im not sure about ur cc

kanasai, is it possible to "reserve" 1 out of 5 lines this friday/saturday/sunday. we have an online tournament & if possible, do not want any hiccups during the match

I already blocked bitcomet and bitrront atm... u guys try the line one by one coz i really cannot "reserve" one line for u due to setting problem... really sorry lah. btw.. we r installed NFS carbon already

at d cafe since 9pm - now. still have major spike (once in 10 minutes). i think its due to someone actually download something from the net (& he's getting good speed too.. b****rd).

is it possible to "limit" download bandwidth? maybe capped to 80-100kbps per pc.

& you have 5 gateways right? may we know which gateway is less being use? how do you distribute the gateways anyway ? & when are you going to show yourself ?
