my intake on the game ;
i find the game amazing, passing is crisp, quick and effective. really my sort of game where you can be creative and mix lobbed balls with regular passes and through balls. my favourite team is Spain as they have a really well squad all round, especially up front with Villa and Torres! i've beaten Germany on Legendary 5-2 on my second day playing the game, didnt find it too difficult. i think EA finally got it right this time, because FIFA was a total and utter mess - i play international football and i really know thats not how football's played the ball doesnt stick to your feet 24-7 and react weirdly. this is sort of a mix between PES and FIFA in a way, and i like it ! i think the online play is brilliant too, i play with my friends in a lag-free environment, and with little lag on euro knockout cup. Battle of the Nations is quite interesting as well... I'm part english and i set my home country to England and its fun to upload your scores and see how people from other countries are faring. Up till now i see that Greece and Spain (home countries) are doing quite well. England being about 3rd in overall ratings. There are one or two bugs which arent significant, but noticable. However they really should not stop you from getting this fantastic game! For any football fans, or any1 who just like to play a round with a friend or so, i really recommend this game, so if any1 has a 50-50 chance of getting it, you really should. Hope this helps guys, see you online! add me ciao |

QUOTE(loko02 @ Jun 1 2008, 03:12 PM) Im part Scottish...yeah and the game rocks too...(and its not mix PES in any way...its FIFA all the way baby..yup my fanboy impulses is acting up)..Cheers! it sort of is because the ball doesn't stick to the players' feet like FIFA.UEFA's EA team developed a totally independent ball physics system. cant believe england didn't qualify this year though This post has been edited by daidzz: Jun 1 2008, 05:41 PM |

360 of course!
you must take in consideration the network being used, when u compare PSN and Xbox Live, i must say (and so do all professional reviewers) that Xbox Live is much better. come on kernkraft u must be kidding me, get it on the 360 its an eyes-closed decision! |

yeah it feels more like EURO 08,
i've always absolutely hated FIFA, because of the unrealistic-ness of the game. Passing was normally peculiar, heading was horrible, players never ever run towards the ball, which is almost the number one rule in footie. EURO 08 got it almost perfectly right, that was how a football game should be like, and i think FIFA 09 is much similar to that, and now i'm definitely getting the game. They give the benefit of the doubt to the strikers, so sometimes when they're level with the defenders, and mayb ever so slightly offside, they let play go on, and that's the way football should be. They do have some new nice animations, like players pointing where they would like the ball to be played, as mentioned above, and those are some nice realistic touches. I think torres is going to be godlike in this game because of his previous season, haha. =) (if you dont count the week-team-update thingy) and i hope they don't do silly things like make defenders as quick as strikers, because they are just not anywhere near as quick. You never see in real life, a centre back sprinting to come from behind to beat torres to a through ball, or to Michael Owen, Defenders very rarely catch up to strikers, normally strikers beat defenders to the ball when they start from behind. FIFA 09 looks promising, hopefully the end product is good. This post has been edited by daidzz: Sep 12 2008, 04:21 PM |

haha yes, i think that FIFA 07 was probably the worst football game ever made.
I didnt quite like FIFA 08 either, but i thought Euro 08 was an amazing football game, felt nothing like previous FIFAs, and i thought EA had finally got it right. They used a similar engine for FIFA 09, because it plays nothing like FIFA 08 imo, i think it plays very similarly to Euro 08, and that's why im getting it. =) |
