Hi all, is there any floor trap that can BLOCK centipede in bathroom? icon_question.gif

I am using this kind of floor trap, that can block smell and cockroaches and rats, but not centipede!!
The floor trap I am using already can 'takung' water, but centipede still 'swim over'. How....

Anyone one knows where to buy floor trap to block smell and CENTIPEDE? Klang valley area...

Buy some fine plastic mesh from stores, cut to size then insert into the plug. Should be fine enough to stop the creepy crawlies from coming in.

Or get a cat. My cat enjoys the extra protein from these critters.

The mesh can trap the dirt and human hair. Later on block the flow.

The trap probably "takung water" not deep enough.

Or once a while get a drain clog chemical, and plenty hot water to wash the hole. Should kill all the bug inside the hole.

Try putting the mesh below the removable trap, since most objects get trapped in the actual metal trap. Also, it's easily removable and cheap enough to be disposable.

If it deep enough, I believe it can't. But with that shallow water trap that TS using, probably not effective.

I think this trap idoblu post is more effective https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3272861

And once a while clean flush with chemical and Dettol with hot water can kill bug and disinfect the drain hole inside. Much more better.

yes they can swim...well more like walking on water they are light enough that the surface tension of the water can hold them up.

I think best way to get rid of all these is pest control.

It is same as DIY, once a while clean flush with chemical and Dettol with hot water can kill bug and disinfect the drain hole inside.

Cheaper.

Too much chemical will kill the bacteria in the sewage tank, septic system and making the breaking bio matter slower. Not a good idea.

If you know what you are doing then DIY is ok. Or else better don't deal with all these poison stuffs.

It is not some kind of crazy chemical.

The 1 I write here is the normal chemical for drain hole that can buy from any hardware shop or ace. And ACE have dozen of such drain flush chemical to choose.

I use dettol to kill centipede before. I think you know dettol is safe to use and any household should have it.

I am having problem of strong foul smell from all floor traps on the ground floor toilets and kitchen. Mine is a new house. Can any sifu advise on how to get rid of the smell? Thanks.
