Just came back after 4+ days there, I feel exactly the same! I stayed at the Lakehouse, the fireplace is a nice touch.

Cameron Highlands Resort was bought over by YTL and converted into a luxury hotel. I looked at it but decided not to stay there, not sure that it's worth paying close to RM1k per night there.

Theofys I've booked through hoteltravel before, the rates they publish are net rates, you don't pay any extras. The only thing is you prepay and there are penalties if you need to change anything.

Most of the muslim only rentals I know are apartments and the ones I've gone to don't have any BBQ facilities. I think you may have to get a bungalow if you want to do BBQ.
