Hey mates... I'll be making a 2D 1N trip to the Camerons on the way back from KL after 3D2N in Penang... Is it sufficient time to visit those popular spots like the Boh Plantation and vegie farms?
And also, what are the recommended hotels between the RM100-200+ range? The Equatorial is actually offering standard rooms for around RM230+ (after tax and surcharge), is it a good hotel for those of u who have stayed there? I'm also considering the Century Pines and Rosa Passadena though...

Well, there should be three of us going, which are me and my gf as well as her sis... I think a hotel room is more than sufficient also ya? Since one of us can sleep on the couch or another single bed...
And yeah, i also feel that 2D1N is more than enough time to complete most of the Camerons... As for hotels, other than these three and the Star Regency, what are the other recommended ones?

Hahaha, lots of suggestions here, very much appreciated... How much are the Rainbow and Kowloon hotels charging per night actually? I'm still considering the Equatorial as well as century, but how about the Strawberyy?

QUOTE(maniac_rage @ Nov 9 2006, 10:46 PM) lol.....That is Strawberry Park. After the takeover, they had given it a new name. Some sort of re-branding I think. Nolah... This one was previously the Merlin... The hotel looks pretty much the same as before but has been upgraded by YTL into a 5-star in the mould of the Pangkor Laut Resort... The Strawberry is still under the same name actually...

I think its something like a Datai or Four Seasons (the two best resorts in Langkawi) in the Highlands ya? Equally luxurious and with the prices to match but instead of the sea, u get clouds in your face!

I just reserved a Superior Room at the Equatorial for 2D1N... Not too bad rates, even after the RM20 school holiday surcharge... After tax amount came up to RM239.20 together with a RM88 F&B voucher...

Well, just came back from my trip to both Penang and the Camerons... Very nice weather at the Highlands today, although it was raining when we arrived there last night... Bought back a good amount of vegie and strawberries!

Well, i'll be planning a return trip to the Camerons once again... The duration should be either 2D1N or 3D2N (which is better to really explore the place, btw?)... But the travel dates are not confirmed yet though...
I may consider the weekend after the Prophet Muhammad's Birthday on Mar 20... But the room rates will jump as its a holiday weekend, and there will be lots of ppl also, i suppose...
