I'm going cameron on august 17th and booked (haven't paid yet though) to stay at Equatorial Cameron Highland. how is that place arr? Got it at Rm 200 per night.

I'm driving up but i'm kinda blur on how to get to cameron from subang. Any guides? I remember the road roughly only.

Btw, Berinchang and tanah rata is how far arr?

Equatorial Ok-lah although the biz ctr near the entrance oledi kaput & dun ever enter the toilet..yuxxx! rclxub.gif Well It's the highest hotel in CH at 1600M above sea level...on top of the Summit of a mountain just like Strawberry park whicj is also on top of a summit.

From Subang, just use the NSE to either Tapah or to Spg Pulai (Very far away but better road condition & wider)..Thereafter just follow sigboard-lah..From Tapah to Equartorial is abother 70km away..& probably 1.5-2hr of travelling from Tapah...If u use Spg Pulai, Almost same timing because u need to go further but once reaching Spg Pulai, it's 45min to Equatorial. (Bear in mind u need another 1/2 hr from Tapah to Spg Pulai + additional toll_

Tanah Rata to Berinchangis about 4KM only..not far. Tanah Rata is at 1400M terrain but berinchang avg 1500M..

Hi there,

I took Senator Suite also during my last visit. Quite disappointed it. sad.gif Equatorial Cameron is not up to standard compared to other Equatorial Hotels. Reasons:

1)Senator suites furniture very very old
2)Bathroom with faulty tap, water stain marks in long bath
3)Sound of water (in pipe) 24 hrs, quite irritating
4)Unprofessional receptionist as i complained these matters and the reply i got (she has no control of this)
5)Requested Senator suite with balcony but didn't get it, although i confirmed my reservation about one month ago. The receptionist didn't even inform me about that until i find out myself
6)Bath towel were washed daily (i didn't ask to wash though) and only got it after calling house keeping.

Note: I made my complaint using the Feedback form but yet to receive any reply from Equatorial.

Well not really....On hot mth such as now or in May/June, the temp still averaging from a cool 24C during day time to 18C at nite and during monsoon in Dec, Temp is about 19C day time & a very cold 15C at nite..I did not experience any drop below 15C so far in CH...but at 15C it's really shivering at nite biggrin.gif and that is not even hig up as Kea farm (1600M) but in Tanah Rata (1400M)...Well I brought thermometer on most of my Highland stays.

I was told CH experience sub 10C b4..

Well, it's the highest hotel in CH...I do agreed that their lobby & even those outdoor stalls & an almost empty sport/food court complex is a shame..run down and toilet not working..yuxxx.. rclxub.gif Infact even the lobby toilet is horrible for this rated 4 star hotel.

Some of the apartments blocks outside the main hotel building seems like privately owned but some units dun really looks well maintained. When I stayed there in 2000, the condition was not so bad although the outdoor foodcourt/amusement complex looks going to shut down soon..& it really did!

Since u oledi booked, just enjoy the view-lah atleast, it's on top of the summit & having a nice view on the Kea Farm valley down below.. biggrin.gif

Yes, not all Senator Suites with balcony. Premium amenities=coffee maker (plastic kettle), that's all. Even, tea, coffee packets and sugar packets will be charged, RM 5 per refill. Nothing difference sad.gif.

Advise, park in B2 to avoid bird droppings. And check in time is EXACTLY 3pm. Previously, i went at ard 2pm, couldn't check in and no special luggage room for keeping. (can leave at outside hotel with bell boy).
