Yes.. I was there in Oct'07. Not really far..u can park ur car somewhere near the trail head (Trail no9) & cross over to the other side of the river...just folow the trail beside the river until u reach the first fall (Man-made) ~300M from the parking. & then probably walk another 1Km to the fall..but for sure u can't swimm there...That's the photo I taken from opposite the fall right where I stand on the trail. Small -yes.. & water quality suxx big time..bcos of the over developement in CH!....No way U or me going to swim on the same water that flow from the same river/big drain opposite Tanah Rata town centre!!!

I f u like water falls, the robison fall although small in volume & dirty water, it's abit impressive actually bcos of the 90 degree fall.. biggrin.gif ..picture dun tell 100% truth unless u r there. Yes Gunung berinchang is to sight the scenery too...just the TM station on top of the summit, and in between the TM station u can actually see the marking on the ground mentioning the border of Kelantan & Pahang.. biggrin.gif There is a trail head at the side of the TM station too that leads you to Gunung Irau...it's about 3-4 hours of tracking to Gn Irau from top of Berinchang...Have not tried...just heard from those who have tracked. Gunung Irau is at the back of Gn Berinchang wth height abit taller I think about 2070M compare to Gn Berinchang @2033M..Irau is the highest point in Cameron Highland & not Gunung Berinchang as what ppl think... biggrin.gif

If u got time should go also to the Boh Plantation at Habu near Ringlet..i.e b4 Tanah Rata....Although dun hv the newly built hanging pavilion, but the hike up the viewpoint on top of one of the summit is the best....tiring but u will be rewarded wth better view of the Valley in between tea plantation.....The road leading to Habu plantation is abit far I think almost 15KM from main CH road but the condition is much better & wider than in Sg Palas...The Tea plantation in Habu is bigger & the original/oldest under Boh Group..The one in Sg Palas is the one they took over from another competitor decades ago..

yup. Sungai Palas. Upon reaching, u will smell the tea aroma in the air. The view is simply the best i've seen comparing even to Gunung Jerai n other mountains tops.

But the road uphill is quite dangerous. The up n down traffic will share a road build slightly to fit not more than 1 car at a time. So if come across traffic frm the opposite direction, then som1 hav to get down to navigate the 2 cars to avoid collision or crashing into the plantation below laugh.gif

Hehe..sorry after recheck the distance it's actually 6KM from the main road...The entrance at the main road is about 4km from Ringlet & 7km before Tanah rata ..Habu is abit low at 1000M only (Not so cold) but once u reach the tea plantation, attitude increased to 1400M. I don't hv the photo album wth me if not I will probably post here....reason why I said is better because ooportuinty to hike up to the summit of Telekom tower (Look out point) & from there a vast miles & miles of green Valley far away....well probably it was my first time there too but definitely not first at Sg Palas (For me Sg Palas too boring oledi.. biggrin.gif ) ..best time to go is on your way up from Tapah to Hotel..start early from KL so that u can reach Habu ~10am & spend your Morning breakfast there b4 going up Tanah Rata at Noon. If u dun start early, by the time reach CH..u for sure will missed this tea plantation because chasing time to Hotel & u probably dun want to detour on your way back...That's why so many ppl missed Habu including me until recently

Here is the link to Habu Tea plantation I managed to find via yahooing.... biggrin.gif
