QUOTE(julnoel @ Dec 15 2006, 08:19 AM) Actually, cameron highlands is a very bery boring place :/ unfortunately. i dun find the place boringif you wanna go and relax, have naps and stuff, this is the place to go lah. if you're in for some fun and adventure, i dont think so. you like plucking strawberries? it's a great hangout place for us living in the cities to breath some fresh air and release our tension in fact i actually goes there whenever i got free time QUOTE(lOvEbItE @ Dec 15 2006, 09:53 AM) According to this map: yep, ignore tapah exit[attachmentid=166775] I should pass by Tapah exit before Simpang Pulai exit, so I just ignore Tapah and take Simpang Pulai exit after Tapah lor... thanks for the information dude! My gf wanna go mar go with her lor... go straight until simpang pulai exit on ur left after toll turn right to the main road, the junction to the hill road is on ur right again forgot which junction but there aren't far from the toll QUOTE(lOvEbItE @ Dec 15 2006, 09:54 AM) From the map seem like Tapah exit road is nearer to Brinchang compared with Simpang Pulai exit wor, is the map misleading or what? distance wise, tapah is nearer, but the twist and turns are making the journey slower and dun forget the buses and lorries, but more scenery, and higher chances of land slide (touch wood)safety wise, simpang pulai road is wider and less turnings, less secnerary, need to go thru kampung raja which is another small town (sometimes the road is a bit slow) This post has been edited by driftmeister: Dec 15 2006, 03:33 PM |

QUOTE(Grengo01 @ Mar 20 2007, 10:29 AM) Kpg Raja? thats pretty far.... and the town smells of manure.... i usually have my lunch at kpg raja on my way up and on my way down,Hehehe.. for me my brekkie in CH is roti canai at tanah rata... and I lurrrrve the teh tarik there early in the morning.. and late at night... its fresh tea aroma is fantastic in the cold thin air... Whereabouts opposite Tanah Rata town? Mayflower is good value for money, tried the other one Hong Kong or Kowloon steamboat.. sigh... small portions and not as tasty... The other thing I normally buy fr CH is honey... I normally get it from this guy who will even deliver it to KL for me nowadays if he comes down... from brinchang go there need like 15-20 mins minimum if got trucks or buses even longer erm.. u know there's a new row of stalls at tanah rata ? opposite traveler's pub/bistro then opposite this new row of stalls (across the main road) is a garage (i think) u can look for the steamboat restaurant by entering the junction, just around 1 mins drive from the entrance honey, where can get it? |

let's say u have finished ur lunch
i think better head straight to sg palas tea plantation they're closed on monday then all the way down u can go to uncle sam's farm, multicrop market, kea farm market, cactus point, cactus valley etc etc i normally will spend 2 nights at cameron more resting time and less rushing why rush like u're in the city? relax relax like the cameronian is good eventhough i have been there for countless times but i still visit all the places over n over again This post has been edited by driftmeister: May 18 2007, 02:27 PM |

QUOTE(calvin_swk @ May 19 2007, 02:02 PM) can't helpnever take buses before QUOTE(joce @ May 19 2007, 02:31 PM) hotel iris is recommended? coz i read it somewhere not sure if its LYN bout them not issuing receipts when customer check in then asking them to check out the nx day saying they oni paid for a nite when they actually paid for 2/3 nites from cameronhighlands.com eh ? coz im planning to extend my stay to 2 nites and if its recommended might consider that hotel for the 2nd nite.. since its kinda cheap yea..i am aware of that too but the victim also has responsibility as he/she didn't insist on a receipt and didn't take notice of the form he/she is filling in just be more careful will do |

QUOTE(joce @ May 19 2007, 02:46 PM) hehe yea i suppose.. shud b cameronhighlands.com's forum.. i would say avoid kowloon, their cleanliness is badyea its partly her mistake for not asking for a receipt too.. but jus don like the idea of them cheating their customer lidat.. eheh parkland hotel n kowloon hotel is under the same management? is rainbow hotel or kowloon hotel recommended? sorry for bombarding u with questions rainbow is a bit better yup, parklands and kowloon is under same management QUOTE(stimix @ May 19 2007, 07:28 PM) Genting Highland is too noisy to call it a hibernating resort-lah...I feel so stressfull wth all the scream & hectic up there & it is too cold too until cannot sleep!..CH is cosy & relaxing... yea, that place is too high-end, crowded, noisy to be a hibernating place |
