hi, i am newbie of lowyat.net greeting everyone here, and this is my first post....  Talking about the cameron hotel, anyone has any idea about the country lodge resort and also Brinchang hotel in cameron? The service there is good or not? I plan to stay there on monday night (means no pasar malam) so is it a wise choice to choose either one of these 2 hotels? (my trip is on school holiday)

very cheap- a dozen probably RM 3- 4 if Im not mistaken.

Brinchang Hotel http://www.impression.com.my/CMHmain/brinchang/brinchang.htm - I think is located at Brinchang town. Brinchang is the highest area after T.Rata.And if you are heading up CH via Simpang Pulai, U will reach Brinchang first. And it is so much better road coming from there instead Tapah (too winding). Very convenient. You can even try Rosa Pasadena. Equatorial Cameron is also located there but at the highest area of Brinchang and most expensive. Never go up to CH during PH , u will get bad traffic.

Avillion was good... surprisingly the hotel has loads of activities. The water chalets were okay but fixtures were a bit old but comfy... the price a bit steep though.. the kids loved the pool and the beach.. baby crabbing activity was great during low tides and during high tide you just have lala washing up ashore by the wave... kids had good time too in the kiddie room as well as the animal pen.. overall enjoyable but at RM460 per night... urrggghh...

On CH, T Cafe is just glorious... that is one place i go for breakfast and tea... their breakfast set is the cheapest and their scones .. fabulous.. cheap and good.

i'm planning to go ch on this coming CNY.. do u think it will have traffic jam ? anyone used to go there on CNY?

The starbuck is pretty new. Based on the latest GPS maps wth me, it's actually taken over the previous Mayflower restaurant. Mayflower I belive has moved out to the row near Maybank according to Putraskyline 

BTW, CH get pretty cold on certain time of the year too for eg..during the mth of Dec- Jan....I hv recorded temperature as low as 15C during my last stay in Dec'07

May try Strawberry Park or Century Pine

I'm planning a family trip year end at Cameron Highland, we are planning to have steamboat or BBQ dinner (self prepare). Trip is 3 days 2 nights. Does anyone have any recommendation for the bungalow which cater for 10 person + a doggy? Looking for nearest to Cameron is better because we love the cold weather

i dunno, i eated steamboat there i think they charge RM 250 per person in CHR.

coz they got 2 pot for u, got abalon, got this and that, and the chef is formerly from mandarin oriental hotel. summore they cook steamboat for me. i just eat oni, no need boil, no need splash, no need jaga fire big small. all done in garden outside.

and then after dinner i become dirty so i go to let girl bath me again. 1 day i bath 12 times.

Just check 1 page b4 this. Someone just did the day trip from Kl but via package tour from KL..I disagreed at 1st on the day trip due to time constraint, but since she/he was on a package & the itineraries covered all the important attractions along the way up to CH, She/she managed to see most of the attraction.

If DIY, 1 day might not be viable bcos, bus going CH will takes about 4 hrs & after reaching, u need to arrange for day trip tour which I think ~RM50-RM80 (Certain ppl said only RM22?)

& thereafter by Evening, u need to catch another bus bck to KL...

I heard during school holiday, the night market will be open every day, is tat true???

That's one of the noisiest hotel in CH...I regretted staying there..Too bad my from is w/out breakfast...And I only take breakfast 5 KM down at Tanah Rata..Brinchang food is not for human...Slaughtering house!
