unsure.gif Whichever road you choose, it is more important that you are a responsible (meaning to the passengers and other road users). As long as you have that mentality, you will be fine, no matter how difficult the road is. BTW the old route via Tapah is not as bad as that. It is quite easy to drive up. One of the easier way is just wait until you meet a more experience driver ( especially tour vans, any 4 wheel drivers or even normal car drivers )and follow behind at a distance.

It takes me only 40 minutes for me to reach Ringlet from Tapah interchange, so it is not that bad. Anyway, always bear in mind, it is not the 10,000 times that matter but the one time that you must be wary off! tongue.gif

tks bro for all the advise. Really appreciate your guidance for the 1st-timer like me. As we have not drove up to any hills before, i think we'll use the Simpang Pulai road for this time.

Will probably be staying at Titiwangsa Hotel.. though we have read about people complaining about the noise-level since it is facing the main road, but my family prefer spacious and clean room at that price range.. hope the noise-level at night is bearable with windows half-closed/3 quarter closed sweat.gif tongue.gif ...

hi guys need some recommendation here if you can spare some time smile.gif

need to find some options for a 1 night trip for 8 pax to cameron. we'll be driving (2 cars of course). a few options would be

- quiet
- clean and comfortable rooms
- fits 8 pax (i dont mind if can shove in 8 pax into 6 pax room, but depends on whether the accomodation management allows or not)
- budget about 50-80/pax

thanks people!

LOL, it is just a shop who specialises in packing the strawberry products into nicer and attractive package so you won't complain when you buy it a little more expensive. The products looks like a nice place to buy 'buah tangan' though. Along that row, there's one ' Lo Chee Hou ' which sells roasted duck and char siew. Quite nice, the best in CH actually. Now they have good steamboat as well, I heard from friends there.

For those who don't know, it is just beside Star Regency apartments, in front of Cactus Village. tongue.gif

Lou Chee Hou is in Brinchang. They specialised in "siew lap fan" or roasted meat. They have steamboat now also. Very easy to spot. Just behind Star Regency apartments. In front of Petronas in Brinchang, turn in the road and on the left is LCH and on the right is Cactus Farm. tongue.gif

All year round weather in CH always cool-lah..but normally ~ Dec till Feb, the temperature will drop further.

Avg daily is ~ 20C-26C and during night time ~ 17C-20C
During Jan/Feb, you might be getting day avg of 18-20C & midnite temp of ~ 14C

Raining is probably daily during now till Dec.

went to cameron last 2 weeks, i am very disappointed with the trip because the last time i went there (around 1998), those flower farm looks so good. Now all those flower farms like (rose valley, rose garden and even the new cactus valley) are poorly maintain and look so old. The road from Tapah to Cameron is so scary, dam curve and dangerous as those lorries still speed like mad when they are there. So personally i suggest you all to use the Simpang Pulai route.

Hi Stimix,

Thanks for your information. This is surely helpful.
Rain is what I'm more concern about cos it may stop lots of activities in CH.
Now I'm thinking if I should still go at end of Nov.
