I have some question about Wira 1.5 GLi SEDAN Auto....

Currently, when driving with one driver and one passenger (2 People in Car)...
This car has no problem crossing bumps.....

But, problem comes when there are one drive and 3 passenger (2 Front / 2 Rear)
The Car Bottom is kinda scratch by the bumps..... it's irritating and hope to solve it soon....

Heard from from that Proton Wira 1.5 GLi SEDAN Auto is normal with this issue....
When i come to my machenic, he said that maybe my absorber is not that "strong" already... so, that when have 2 passenger at backl... the car seemed to be lower....

Problem can be solve by changing the Shocks Absorber to....
1. Wira 1.5 Shock Absorber (REAR)
- problem solved a while, and will be back when shocks weak again....

2. Wira 1.6 Shock Absorber (REAR)
- Problem solved, coz the 1.6 Absorber is higher than Wira 1.5 one.... and 1.6 Absorber can handle more weight....

My QUEATIONS IS,
1. Can Wira 1.6 Shock Absorber fit and use it into a WIRA 1.5 SEDAN?
2. If i changed to 1.6 Shock Absorber, should i change the spring also?
3. What brand is good for overall comfort and performance?

Please Advice.
Thank you very much.

comfortable n performance is cannot be relate 1. once u wanna comfortable absorber den cannot go for performance d. if go for performance den the spring is harder than stock spring, summore the performance suspension system will lower down ur car than stock status. if not wrong the 1.6 absorber u gonna mod the mount only can fit to 1.5. as i know the 1.3/1.5 and 1.6/1.8 mount is different 1.

it is normal. coz the stock or comfortable suspension system spring will be quite soft 1. if u take 1.6 absorber will nit to mod the mod to fit 1.5. if u wanna a harder a bit suspension den mayb u can use 1.6.

if that's the case, your springs should still be ok if u don't use your car like a pick-up truck. best to stick to standard kayaba shocks. i've been using them all these years and still no complaints. if u need, we also have heavy duty servicable shocks for your wira. i'm quite sure the botton won't be scrapping if u use these shocks, and they are quite comfortable too. btw, 1.5 & 1.6 rear shocks are the same thing.

Hi, Sifu,

Thanks for your precious advice.....

Actually, i have few Wira at house.....
1 x Wira 1.5 GLi Sedan (Auto) - About 6 years old
1 x Wira 1.5 GLi Aeroback (Auto) - About 3 years old
1 x Wira 1.6 XLi Sedan (Auto) - About 10 years old

But, i found that only Wira 1.5 got problem negotiating bump when there is rear passenger in the car (mostly 2 passenger will kena)....... The bottom part of the car will like kena scratch by the bump......

But, with Wira 1.6... it's okay... no problem at all......

The 1.5 and 1.6 Rear Absorber is the same?? No modification needed??
1.6 is higher and much stiffer than 1.5 one??

Please advice...
Thanks....
