With 1.50 firmware you can change the monthly backgrounds by using xflash, pspset and a few others.

About the PSP Slim being TOO SLIM, i guess it will not be when compared to the older PSP. I am sure its only slimmer by missing the back hand contour. Meaning you only missing the holding part. Others should be still the same..

the pandora battery can be normalized back easily. I've done that plenty of times. Very easy mar. Just read the readme carefully and you're good to go. Even my 10yr old kid can do it.
