The guys at IGN are going gaga over Test Drive Unlimited. The PSP port are better than their console brethren.

Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles for PSP via Joystiq & 1up

After six years of nonstop support for Nintendo's portable devices, Konami is finally branching out to Sony's side of the handheld market with Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles -- a port of the PC Engine Duo's Dracula X: Rondo of Blood. The title, announced at their annual Gamers' Day press event, contains not only a graphically-enhanced version of Rondo of Blood with a 3D facelift, but the original version as well as -- are you ready? A straight port of the legendary Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, complete with full-screen graphics and a newly glossed over translation.

1UP managed to wrangle the exclusive on this portable bombshell with a hands-on preview, complete with screenshots and video. Seeing as how Rondo of Blood is regarded as one of the best in the series, this is an absolute no-brainer for fans. The inclusion of Symphony of the Night serves to make it one for fans of video games, period.

Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles is currently slated for a Fall, 2007 release.

Wipeout Pulse

Sony has announced that a new WipEout game for PSP will be released this September, courtesy of our old pals Studio Liverpool.

WipEout Pulse promises 24 new, reversible circuits to race around in new ships shooting people with new weapons while listening to new licensed music, including songs by Mason, Loco Dice and Stanton Warriors. God I feel old.

You'll be able to race against your friends in ad hoc and infrastructure (Internet!) modes, coating yourself in the liveries of eight new in-game racing teams, including one called EG-X. Good name.

More impressive, Sony reckons, will be in the introduction of a new track element called the "Mag-Strip" - this will lock ships to the surface of the track temporarily, allowing level designers to include things like loops, vertical drops and 90-degree angled sections to mess with your head.

Which, it turns out, they will be doing in seven game modes, with a Training section also introduced to show you everything from steering to shooting - something that's bound to come in handy for gamers more used to wheely racecars.

Finally, there'll be scope for personalisation and showing off, with the option to store your own music (MP3s) on a Memory Stick and listen along while you play, while a Photo Mode will allow you to take shots of your ship and post them online. Kids these days.

And, says Sony, the fun won't stop in September either, with downloadable content lined up for launch (why not put it on the disc then?) and afterwards, including new tracks, ships and tunes.

Screenshots!

bro cylon, 360 kau dah ok dah? ke nak henjut zephyr plak?
*
Ok ke menda!! Macam tot31 cakap, 3rod mana boleh repair. Either hantar Singapore or buy a new one.

Zephyr? Other than HDMI and 120Gb, they're still using older processor, not the newer 65nm. So...lebih kurang sama je! Aku dah serik sekali. Unless depa ada official launch or it's much easier to claim warranty or repair from local retailer, no more 360 for me.

omg why LED .. what does it stand for? sori for error x.x
*
The LED in question are used to replace the conventional backlighting currently used in LCD's. They are not on it's own a display technology. Unlike CRT's, LCD's doesn't have it's own light source. It's use lamp back light. Now, they're using LED to replace those lamp back light.

anyone here see the new psp-2000 for sale in KL? i read from the internet it has been for sale in Hong Kong....not sure it's official or not.
*
I did, in Imbi Mario. Sold for RM 700. Black and White colored version.

At first it doesn't attract me that much. Overall feeling is rather awkward. The back cover is glossy, just as same as the front face. I prefer the old back cover.

Asked Connie for the older PSP. That's when the differences matters. I don't mind the thickness/depth, but the weight....."ringan giler!!!". Ada duit confirm sambar.

Thats a nice price for the PSP Slim. Now, would the older gen PSP drop its pricing soon? LOL...
*
Hard to say. As of yesterday, the older version sells for RM 20 lesser than the newer model. That'll change depends on availability and whether the newer models can be moded or not ( like when the inability of modding of the 2.81 psp increases the price of psp's with lesser version numbers. )
Consoles makers are getting creative in protecting the inventions. That shop has 10 unsold newer Japanese Wii's which can't be moded.

Okay, I have a question. Is it possible, to output to tv using the slim cable on the fat one? If we have the 3.60 firmware (IF we ever get this), is it possible? Or is it because slim version has extra hardware (chip, etc.)? Because I noticed that the tv output cable (of the slim version) is plugged into the headphone/microphone/control jack. Correct me if I'm wrong. smile.gif
*
Nope u can't. It's been clarified on numerous blogs.
