What do you mean by increasing the CPU speed/GPU speed won't increase the gaming speed? huh.gif

Can you clarify on this? thumbup.gif

3.70 Original firmware?
There are no M33 versions yet.
Please keep in mind that if you're upgrading to 3.70 or 3.71, it's the original one. Not M33. wink.gif

Keep topic discussion to PSP wink.gif
Does this mean that PSP will become absolete in a few years from now? When did the PSP launched? 2004? Usually, consoles only last for 5-6 years. So, we still got time till 2010 then eh? tongue.gif

Both for fat and slim.
But, I see no significance of upgrading my fat PSP to 3.71 M33 (DA).
Slim users shud coz it stops the UMD-cache for homebrew (wasting of memory)

QUOTE
Changes in 3.71 M33:

- Now uses 3.71
- VSH Menu is not longer launched using HOME key, but using SELECT now. This is to not interfere with the XMB function of home, which is now more useful in this firmware.
- Psp Slim: umdcache was allocating memory even when homebrew was launched, wasting memory that homebrew programs may want to use. Now umdcache module is stopped before it can allocate any memory, only in the case homebrew is launched. Also, memory is unprotected for user memory usage by M33 core (only when homebrew is launched). Developer, for a sample of how to use the extra memory, see the extra ram sample of the M33 sdk.
- Both version boot now from 3.XX ipl, and are independent of 1.50. The main installer will not install 1.50 kernel anymore. A 1.50 kernel addon for 3.71 M33 that will install inside 3.71 M33 will be released in a few days (for fat only)

Why don't you just get it from our trusted Bernard?
Check for his info in the Consoles Couch main forum... you should look for Gamers Solution...

I thought PSP Slim doesn't support homebrew? And all PS1 games are categorized as homebrew rite?

just follow the 3.71 M33 installation guide u should b fine. no need easy installer.

if u want to see the changes has been done added/fixed, just read the README.txt
*
I followed the readme.txt and i didn't manage to install it. tongue.gif
Actually, the readme failed explain (or I didn't understand correctly) a very crucial important thing which is about the 371.pbp thingee.
The 371.pbp is an official update from Sony which weighs around 22MB.
Get that and put it in the update folder too.
