QUOTE(mfa333 @ Jan 17 2007, 10:59 PM) wah, they drop the price again??? I saw that it was RM99 last month, was also surprised that they reduced the price. i was buying around 1-2 weeks ago at rm99. One day after i bought, they reduce the price to RM95.. now RM89 only? QUOTE(radioactive @ Jan 18 2007, 12:24 AM) I ask my friend to get a 2gb sandisk mspd and he got it for rm175. IMHO, almost all the MSPD's that you get online or from unauthorized Sony shops sell fake ones.according to rumours to check ur mspd genuinity, you have to check the magicgate compatibility. if its compatible means its genuine. sandisk is also said to be faster than sony Of course, the most obvious indication would be the price. |

super high chances its fake cause of its low price
so the drawback of the moresales 2GBmspd is that its even slower than the 1GB fake mspd on the market? most sandisk's ultra II MSPDs are fake, if you happen to find them very cheap. they are pretty expensive atm. but if u can get the ori ones, they are very good, and offer very fast speeds. faster than the plain sandisk mspds, and faster than the translucent colourful sandisk mspds but getting back to sony 2GB fake mspds, how are they compared to the normal ori sony 2GB mspds? because from a review i recall, the ori hi speed sony 2GB mspds are much slower than ori plain blue sandisks edit : hagon81 : are you willing to help test the moresales mspd u bought? would be grateful if u can run the mstest homebrew on the mspd, and find out its read rate. the read rate of a hi speed sony should be 10M/s, while for a sandisk ori blue, 15M/s link to the mstest homebrew : http://pspupdates.qj.net/MSTest-v1-0-for-P.../pg/49/aid/9416 thanks =D This post has been edited by daijoubu: Jan 19 2007, 03:47 AM |

hagon : hmm... that seems to be quite correct speed actually.
as u can see here : http://web.telecom.cz/vedeni_ucetnictvi/images/MSTest.pdf sony mspd ORI write at 1.5MB/s max and yours, calculated, gives around 1.3MB/s. very close as for eoma's, calculated it'll take about 4MB/s, also quite close to the tested 5MB/s hagon, any other ways u can see whether its ori or fake? check the rear lables on the card. are they printed or laser engraved?
