QUOTE(Cyphereza @ Sep 5 2007, 09:30 AM) I think it's called stucked pixel. White on black instead of black on white. Correct me if I'm wrong... it just a term... but both means the same for general public users... There is a minimum number of dead pixels you need to have on your screen before you can send it in for warranty. If I'm not mistaken, usually it's more than 12. industrial standard for dead pixel is 5. if more than 5.. then u may claim it. but if below.. u have to bear with it. why 5 dead pixel? because if they dont do this.. the price of LCD screen would not be as cheap as nowadays... the only manufacturers that very concern bout this are. * Philips (on their PerfectPanel range) * ViewEra (certain models. Covers any defective pixel within 6 months of purchase) * Toshiba (only high-end notebook models) * ASUS (Zero-Bright-Dot Policy on all but barebone laptops) * Nintendo (for the Nintendo DS) * Vizio (for most TVs check their site) * Samsung Australia * Viewsonic Policy * Sager Midern Computer ** it looks nintendo DS would not have any dead pixel ! |

it just like computer softwares... no different if u are using 512mb or 8gb of ram in your computer.. it still the same software.. it just the hardware itself that do the job. maybe for psp.. the firmware inside tell how to allocate those programs inside the ram. maybe laaa....

why would sony create such a burden for themselve? have to code two different firmware for same device.. and they have to do that for lifetime.

i think sony would discontinue it..
well.. dont worry about firmware dev, dont worry about games... it always there for you.. dont u think they will lose fan if they do like what u worrying for? haha... lose fan means lose sales.. lose sales means lose money.. later everybody dont want to buy sony product.. because later if they release new slimmer version, older fat cant use.. hahaha.. aiyaa.. dont worry so much. just enjoy.. they're pro.. they think all circumstances.. worst case scenario.. Added on September 12, 2007, 9:41 pm QUOTE(Cyphereza @ Sep 12 2007, 08:44 PM) Well, i think they didn't reprogrammed the whole firmware. Just the memory module. Small part, no big deal for a big company to hire programmers. This post has been edited by msn83235502: Sep 12 2007, 09:41 PM |

now they release a theme.. for a very long time.. LOL.
i agreed with monster hunter.. sony must support their product until it is replaced by next gen handheld console.. see ps1, few years after ps2 is released, it is still kickin.. but sad for ps2.. only not even a year after ps3, new games is already less.. |

3.51 m33.. newer firmware than 3.40... no need umd anymore.
u dont need to go to any shops to upgrade your firmware because u are already on 3.51.. and also dun have to risk urself by upgrading the firmware yourself.. just be happy with it. This post has been edited by msn83235502: Sep 14 2007, 09:13 PM |

Added on September 15, 2007, 7:18 pm QUOTE(LittleLinnet @ Sep 15 2007, 04:22 PM) the remote is not the same since the port at the slim there is going to used for TV out. just wanna reply this.. haha...But still, both are using 3.5mm jack for earphone u may use any type of earphone u like.. it just the remote that makes a problem.. even MD remote cannot fit in. it's a sony.
