lol I cant think of anything better than that. Imagine the psp suddenly looks like it is bricked for 3 minutes. Turn off the power , pull out the battery also still same thing.

set your parental control to level 1 or 9 one or the other. The next time you power on your psp, it will ask for the password in order to load the UMD. That will stop the autorun.

oh and emulation rocks with full speed emulation on all systems that I've seen GBA GBA Advance, Sega Genesis, Capcom Play System, EXCEPT for N64. But even that is slowly progressing to become better and better.

AFAIK even the original gba just runs at 30 FPS. That is already very playable.
